If - Darwinian evolution is fact - then - aliens must be real and some of them probably want our planet. I hope they're green and from Orion.
That is a very large IF though. There are a great many shadowed spots in the Darwinian evolutionary timetable. Irreducible complexity has some merit and attempting to explain these unknown gaps requires some leaps of...wait for it...faith...in science. Which is consistently off by a bit or downright incorrect (not only in biology). Which admittedly is part of the process. "Darwinism" would not and does not provide an adequate explanation for the as yet discovered history of life. Which does not automatically indicate the veracity of Intelligent Design. However there is SO much emotion and personal baggage trailing along behind this particular conundrum that finding an unbiased analysis of available information is not likely.
After all. .. tenure is worth quite a lot.

It may be proven valid, which it already has been as it's labeled a "scientific theory" and not a "hypothesis" but the simply structure of the proposal itself disallows it from being a fact. However, why do you say this about aliens? Darwinian Evolution does not attempt to look at the [i]creation[/i] of life, merely a common ancestor, of which is not the first form of life to exist.
