DO NOT DO THIS! YOU ARE SPAMMINH SONYS SERVERS AND WILL CAUSE IT TO CRASH AGAIN

The PlayStation network status is Online and @askplaystation on Twitter is parroting to cycle your network hardware if you are having connection issues. I tried connecting at 1500 MTU and it failed. I power cycled my router and the PS4. Still no connection. I switched back to 1473 and connected right away. Do so at your own risk but it works for me.
-
If not that what else can try
-
Sonys servers can handle normal traffic. A DDOS attack is easily 10 times that. The PlayStation support page is telling you to try and log in, as is @askplaystation on Twitter. Caps lock is not the highway to cool.
-
And Sony support will tell you to please not do the MTU manipulation. Call them and check for yourself.
-
As soon as I can connect with a 1500 MTU, I will switch back. Until then, feel free to report me.
-
^You're dumb, and this isn't true. No one listen to this dipshit. The MTU fix worked fine for me. It affects your maximum packet size. You won't hurt Sony's servers with this.
-
No you are dumb. You know nothing. We are having constant attacks of servers because of this
-
The server attacks were caused by a ddos from lizard squad. The MTU setting changes your maximum packet size. Some connections will cause packet fragmenting at the default 1500 MTU. Lowering this will cause less fragmentation. If it was going to hurt Sony's servers, do you really think they would include an option to change it?
-
Yes because Sony servers are being rebuilt with different nodes that we have not seen and tampering with this will continue to crash what they are doing! Sony has stated that they want people to stop!
-
While you are entitled to your opinion, I disagree and will continue to recommend this fix.

No I'm just kidding, I'm trolling. I really don't care what people do.. my psn has been working without it but Goodluck everyone!
