No clue how authentic this post was but supposedly PSN should be back up today. Bungie stated 30mins ago they are fixing the PS3, PS4 issues. Hopefully we will be slaying the darkness once again today Guardians.

They said that last night to, when it went under mait but honestly a billion dollar company should not be able to be dDoS by script kiddos.

Clearly, you don't understand how a DDoS attack works. You can't protect against DDoS attacks. Distributed denial of service attacks involve using multiple machines to overload the bandwidth of multiple servers, thus flooding a targeted server or network with severe traffic. DDoS isn't hacking, as attackers don't have to get inside the system, bypass firewalls, etc. It's almost impossible to stop a DDoS attack.

I know how they work anyone can ddos but the thing is stopping it not letting it happen.

You [b]can't[/b] stop or prevent a DDoS attack. There are no precautionary measures that can be taken to prevent an attack and the only way that a DDoS attack can be stopped is by eliminating the machines overloading the servers. Which, in the long run, doesn't matter, since an attacker can simply add more machines.

You're talking about two different things there. DDOS doesn't have anything to do with getting hacked and cards stolen. That hasn't happened since psn was free.
