The Titan, The Warlock and the Hunter...
I hated hunters since launch. I hated them very passionately for a couple reasons. One, bladedancer I felt was the cheesiest super to use in PvP, they looked fragile and sneaky which for some reason I thought was uncool. Then, after lvling both a titan and a warlock to 31 (with raid gear), I started a hunter. Wow...
Titan is now too slow, warlock is baby mode, hunter is where it's at.
The knives bro, the knives. How the hell did I not make a hunter since day 1. Nothing feels like throwing one in the face of someone. Believe me when I say this; Hunter is hard mode, Titan normal and Warlock baby mode. It's much more satisfying to play a hunter than a warlock, like, ever. Hear me out:
A few days ago, played my warlock through crucible on the venus map. Back at spawn, I aim high, throw a nova bomb, get a quadra kill on enemies capping 'B'. After the a few seconds of ''Dude, that was awesome!!'' I realized nothing is as cheezy and cheap as this super. Whereas titans need to get in close range, warlocks can just aim high and get insta kills with the angry magic perk, given that the enemy isn't in a room.
Now, I'm a gunslinger hunter. I still think bladedancer is cheesy as hell.
This is not a warlock hating thread, I'm stating cold facts.
If you don't play a hunter, you have no say in this thread because your opinion will instantly be biased.
What do you all think about your classes?

i play as both a hunter and a titan and i think that the hunter takes far less skill btw im talking about defender

Well i love nova bomb but, with hunter(also gunsilnger) my survivability went up. If i get caught in a tight corner i just jump and jump. Where titan was sprint jump and use shoulder charge to get away i feel like hunter fits more in to my playstile all though they have some bad abilities. But man suns8nger is intriguing me: only for self rez.

Hunter has been my favorite. Titans rely on armor, warlocks abilities. Hunters rely on speed. Can't just set up and bullet sponge and don't have crazy warlock abilities, so you have to manually dodge the bullets while lining up precision shots. The class is very dependent on the user. Bad players create some of those horrible hunters you see on occasion, while highly skilled players become even better with the additional speed and crit rewarding skills. I've played all the classes and like all of them, but being anything but a hunter just doesn't quite feel right.

I had all warlocks to get to 32 and made a Titan and didn't like it. Once I made a hunter I was in love. Literally I made one 3 days ago and I've played since launch. I can personally say(since I have played all 3) hunter is a personal favorite. I use gunslinger also cause blade dancer isn't really that much of fun for me. I only us e blade dancer for first part of crota. Makes life 10x more easy. But yes I agree with the OP. Hunters are very funny and entertaining.

I just play all three cause they're all fun. I love throwing knives and chain of woe cause I'm a hand cannon addict, but I love all the warlock abilities, radiance with radiant skin ftw! Yet that ground pound on my level 8 titan is pretty satisfying.

I like to switch off between my hunter and warlock. Choosing a class depends on what I'm doing but for my hunter I usually just stick to blade dancer cause I'm lazy. I really don't like the titans though.

I mainly play pve but i'll try to level with you never played a titan yet, i'm saving slot 3 so i can play through with my friend after christmas :) hunters are fun to use, i agree throwing knives are great fun. and yes, the arc-blade is quite cheesy in pvp. I'm yet to unlock tripmine grenade but i see basically EVERY hunter use that damn thing. however in pve the hunter is just a pretty average gun-man, you've really got nothing special until you whip out your space cowboy or arc blade. you have to rely on your weapons and most the time i don't even bother with grenades. I like the warlock (voidwalker) because i like to cause destruction on such a wide level (i'm an anarchist, borderline nihilist) and bloom with scatter grenade equals every thrall on the map dead. the nova bomb is basically a slightly bigger grenade. however in pvp the warlock's bloom is pretty useless because the grenades are never one hit kills and nova bomb kills everyone anyway. I've never heard of people aiming high w/ nova bomb to get kills, and i'm not bothered to try either because when you start the animation you're basically invincible anyway (skull of ahamkara is really just for cosmetics) Hunters in pvp are basically the same in pve except the golden gun makes a more dramatic difference because instead of killing 3/25 enemies you're killing 3/6 or more if you have the explody thing. the throwing knife is an effective tool if you have high enough strngth bonus or the relative recharge perks. Like i've mentioned before my gunslinger isn't very well leveled. Then there's the sunsinger warlock where all you have to do is wear voidfang vest and get 2 sticky 1 hit kill grenades every time you die. self revive is kinda pointless unless you just almost killed someone but they had heavy ammo you can revive and finish them off then keep the heavy ammo

I have one of each kind all lvl 31 and i honestly like my hunter gameplay the most. The ability to go invisible and be the medic savior and also the agility is great. Hunters are so much better at getting out of tough spots and are, in my opinion, the most fun class

I have a hunter (29) and a warlock (can be 32) and i think its safe to say the hunter is absolutely pointless (by far the shitiest character) in pve but ideal in pvp

6 RepliesI main a Hunter but got bored of playing him after I grinded him to 32 , so I decided to make a Titan since I've never played one before and I actually really like playing it, each class is good, it's just personnel preference and play style.

Dude I have a Hunter and Warlock. I love my Warlock but Hunter is a lot more fun to play as.

1 ReplyI have played both warlock and hunter and the only thing that makes warlock easy is self resurrect, which i personally dislike because then i cant use my super for fear of losing resurrect. Hunters are barely harder, but really in my opinion the classes dont make a big difference

I like titans. Haven't played the hunter much and need to start doing so. But warlocks aren't too cool. I like titan play style.
