So it's safe to say that that $500 million dollar thing was all fluff ( Hey look! A big number, buy our game). Or the only team that had thorough skill was the art department and original writers

Granted the 500 million thingy in the leading up to the game's release was refering to the overal budget to the whole thing for 10 years (Though Bungie did not run to make it clear for those who got confused.) That budget accounts for all 3 planned games plus DLC and marketing for them which baflingly, it is not a whole lot. It's in the ballbark of 175 million for each game with the rest going to marketing and DLC development also since this game has an always online requirement a chunk goes to server infrastructure costs.

Bad communication. Most people think/thought it was going to be one game that was going to get all the support. But at the same time the later games will already have something to go off of and that leaves me very optimistic for the future of destiny. But then again it saddens me that it has come to this. Tough love.

Edited by AlexisRivera: 12/24/2014 4:38:10 AMInitially the confusion worked to Bungies favor as people wondered what could be possible with a budget that nearly doubled GTA5's 265 million dollars it remains to be seen if this in the end hurts sales for the sequels. I don't hold any desire to play the sequels though.
