What's really stupid on Bungie's part is that everyone will eventually just skip this section. There is a checkpoint after this, so all people will eventually do (and already have started in masses) is just complete the first two sections, grab a Crota checkpoint from someone in the party (or someone in the party grabs it from someone on forums) and then boom, skip section right to next loot point (ie: Crota). Their design literally made that entire fight a moot point. Like many things in Destiny, incredibly short sighted without any long term thought. Bungie REALLY needs some people with a vision greater than two feet in front of them.
