PvP is more important than PvE
Competitive multiplayer has always increased longevity especially when it comes to these first person shooters, it happened with CS, Halo and even CoD.
I just wish Bungie would realize this and focus more on the potential it has with PvP instead of squandering the resources on worthless repetitive AI in PvE.

8 RepliesYou realize multiplayer is just a filler for most games right? Games incorporate it just so you can have something else to do. Games like Cod and Battlefield are just exceptions to that.

All the scrubs who get stomped on in PvP are yelling how superior PvE is. Get real guys. I realize people are different and not everyone like or have the skills for PvP BUT Destiny would certainly die without crucible. Crucible still have more issues than it should and bungie SHOULD focus more on it. Not solely of course, just more.

Why are you using counter strike as an example? That game doesn't have any pve there are significantly more examples of only single player games lasting far longer

I'm not interested in getting Arc-Bladed, slide-shotgunned in the face, or fusion rifled from around the corner repeatedly on the same tiny maps by try-hards who run to the forums bragging about K/D stats that only matter to other PvP try-hards. That is not my idea of fun. CoOperative PvE is much more fun. If I wanted cookie cutter PvP Id be playing those other cookie cutter shooters.

Destiny's co-op PvE is the main aspect of Destiny without a doubt and before people start saying "oh you just like pve more coz u is a skrub" I have a 2+ KDR on all my characters for PvP. They need to focus more on PvE in my opinion and iron out the damn glitches in the raids...

Here here. Enough with the nerfs etc. If an exotic needs a buff that's fine. There's always going to be a tier system for weapon effectiveness. The AWP sniper from CS is more OP than the Vex and SUROS but CS had GAMEPLAY variety that keeps the community going to this day. We've literally got deathmatch and control.

1. i have said pvp is what till keep this game going since day one. 2. Bungie knows this and have spent and updated pvp more the pve. 3 PVP has had the IB more then every other even combined

Some people like PvP some like PvE. It is a matter of taste and opinion just like I think coconut is the worst thing ever and yet some people love it. Maybe you're a apple pie guy and I'm a cheesecake guy? To say one is better is all opinion and this statement is just you being a hater. I personally have fun playing pve and get angry playing pvp my k/d is 0.60 but doesn't help all buddies come over and destroy my k/d when they have a .17 game.

The community on these forums disagrees with you at about a ratio of 4:1, if you're being serious - feel free to hunt for the poll on what Bungie should prioritize: PvP or PvE.

But many people who have been drawn to Destiny are not your typically "Shooter Bros". They are MMO and RPG fans. So Bungie would be foolish to ignore PvE. Especially since the biggest selling point of this game are the raids....
