Hi everyone,
We are sorry to see people encountering this issue. We realize some of you have already attempted the following steps, but I will place them here just in case:
-Clearing the Cache by turning off your console, unplugging it for 10 minutes and plugging it back in.
-Having a wired connection when installing updates
If these have not resolved your issue, below are further troubleshooting steps for directly clearing the cache in your Destiny launch screen. Please let me know if the information provided below resolves your issue.
-Launch Destiny on your console (Do not press A to play)
-At the sign on screen (the screen that prompts you “Press A To Play”) press and hold the following buttons for ~10 seconds, or until the game launches : Right Bumper (RB) + Left Bumper (LB) + down on the dpad
-Please note: This button command should only be used during the Start Screen

I know this thread is about dead but I'm Rage V7 with a wired connection trying to play but the fake update bug thing that's up is ruining my ability to play. I haven't played in a week because of this damn error code wasp. I've done literally everything you've mentioned above and NOTHING is helping. Please help, because I'm about to sell my copy. This is getting aggravating and incredibly annoying.

Clearing my cache and resetting my entire console to factory settings did the trick but now I have to reinstall 75gb of Halo MCC. I thank you for helping but this has gotten out of hand and what it looks like only for Xbox players.
