Too bad they're the 300 versions.
VoG needs to be updated to drop 2.0 exotics.

The difference in damage between the level 300 and 331 is negligible. Maxed out icebreaker only does a maximum of 1000 extra dmg on atheon woth times vengeance .

They do matter you can 2 shot boomers in Croats end at lvl 31 with v2 maxed IB. .. anyone stuck on boomer duty knows how nice this is

The only way you arent going to two shot a boomer in crotas end with a 300 ib is when you are 30. And you can actually still kill them in two shots with weapons of light. Ive ran crotas end 7 times, 3 with a 300 ib, 2 31s and a 30 toons. Once with a 302 ib and then 3 more times with a 331, all level 31 toons at this point. I know what a 300 ib can and cant do man. The difference in dmg for 31 points is minimal. And all these old raid weapons stuck at 300 are still awesome for the new raid until the new weapons come out. Every one seems to think this 31 extra dmg is godly and they cant be stopped with it. 1000 extra dmg at most on atheon with a times vengeance that multiplies your attack by like 4x!!! Thats 250 dmg! Thats nothing dude!

All I did was post facts of my experience you could have read it and been on your way but you had to start calling people names and instigate things I'm a idiot because my sniper used to not kill in two shots but once I got it maxed it does seriously how did you find the egg??

You may think you are right but you are not. The only way you cant kill those knights with two head shots is at 30 with out weapons of light. And i may even have video proof.... Let me get back to you tomorrow after i do crotas end again. I have a video in crotas end from dec 14. Its either a 300 ib or a 302 ib. Im head shotting the for 4366, 2 shots in the video, let me know what a 331 hits for. If anyone wants to jump in and let me know what a 331 crits for then by all means!

Alright I'm working right now but yeah I'm not sure if I was still a 30 but it would hit them down to one shot and I would switch to my VoC and one shot would kill them I may have been a 30 still at that time... I apologize for getting hostile wasn't trying too but their are a lot of jerks on here lol

Never said they didn't. But a recent drop should have the new weapons, not the old, regardless of where they came from. The VoG is irrelevant to those that have the Vex and the Fatebringer. Everything else has lost it's mojo.

You still need the Ascendant materials from VoG to upgrade Legnedary gear...So, VoG is still relevant, even for Ascendant materials.

Getting mats isn't as hard as it used to be. Getting rid of old weapons gets you 5 mats. Leveling up unwanted legendaries and sacking them gets you 5-6 mats, too. Running dailies and weeklies get you a lot of materials as well.

I agree that is true, but not all players (especially newer gamers) have that luxury of dismantling old VoG gear. So, there is still a purpose for VoG. Hell, as badly as I want a Gjallarhorn, I'd settle for the 300 variant drop from there any day of the week over not having it at all. Since I only have one character, I pretty much only get the two raids and Nightfall as my halfway decent chance of an exotic drop.

Chances are that someone that has the Vex and the Fatebringer are not new to the game. Those weapons are still relevant post DLC. The others have lost their charm. For those that don't have these yet, the VoG may still have a draw. Go back and read my post carefully. I said it was irrelevant for the owners of these weapons. There needs to be some draw to get those of us with those weapons back in the Vault. I loved that raid, and the mechanics within. Since the weapon drops that come from it aren't the 2.0 weapons, there is no draw for me since I'm not interested in the 300 max weapons anymore. I've got more than enough shards and energies to last me through the next DLC. If Ascendants were like Radiants, then you would have a reason to be in the VoG. Right now, Ascendant material is easy to get from multiple sources.

Except the legendary gear is pointless now as well. Can't reach 32 with it. Most players had shards to reach 31 without issue.

Legendary weapons are still applicable (if they aren't raid weapons). Also, people that need interim pieces of armor that doesn't drop from CE still need the materials to upgrade those pieces of armor for level 31. I juggle pieces myself (between raid and non-raid items). I still don't have all of the CE raid pieces and some of them don't have the stats that I'd ideally like, so I equip legendary drops with +33 Light in the interim, until I get what I need.
