Sorry but Vex is the best gun from VoG.
Wow 100 replies and probably counting xD all these salty tears are delicious. Anyway the Vex is in no way shit it's very good and it blows a lot of exotics out the water (Hawkmoon, Gjallarhorn, Ice Breaker, etc). The gun does 523 initial impact with smart drift control and goes all the way to 601 with the crowd control. It also has 35 bullets with extended mag and has 112 RPM. You guys can do the math with the DPS.
Anyway while you're over there still shooting shit I'll be mowing down enemies with my sexy Mythoclast. Enjoy shitposting on this reply I already got my fill on salty tears and retards that have no idea what they are talking about :D.

I got the Vex. I rate it 9/10 in terms of primary weapons. 6/10 in terms of Hype. It is a good weapon, no doubt... but it suffers in terms of damage against level 30 enemies when compared to the Vision Of Confluence, not to mention that the Vision is literally a fire-damage SUROS Regime. Best exotic weapon? No... (Ice Breaker, Gjallahorn, Pocket Infinity definately outclass it, with other exotics like the Plan C and Last Word coming close) Best exotic Primary? ... Maybe. Weapons like the Thorn and SUROS Regime for Crucible and weapons like the Red Death in PvE (If you know how to use it) Have the potential to outclass it in certain situations... but in terms of simply raw DPS, the Vex Mythoclast is indeed a monster. In my opinion... Mythoclast > Ice Breaker & Gjallahorn in PvP Ice Breaker & Gjallahorn > Mythoclast in Strikes & Raids You can literally use anything in free-roam environments, so yeah.

I'll agree with you for the most part. The Vex is probably the single most FUN gun for me to use. I love it. It's one of the few exotics that actually deserves to be called an exotic. It has its pros and cons. Good: It's fun. Really fun. It's good in crucible. it's a lot of fun to use. It's awesome for bounties, thralls, solar shielded shanks, It's fun. It sounds and looks cool. It's really good for wizards and "weaker" enemies. It's a blast to use. It's pretty darn good in Crota's end. Bad: It's a gas HOG. This darn thing runs out of ammo quick. The range isn't that great. More often than not Vision of Confluence is a better choice. I have two pieces of armor that grant extra ammo for fusion rifles so I don't feel the sting of the ammo shortage nearly as bad now but I'm still that guy at the "defend confluxes" who's in the back popping primary synthesis. It ties with Icebreaker for my favorite exotic. I have to admit tho, if I had to pick one or the other for sheer effectiveness the nod goes to Icebreaker.

Fatebringer and it's not even CLOSE. If you use a Vex over a Fatebringer in ANY situation EXCEPT Solar Burn you are poorly judging how good that gun is.

Sorry but fatebringer is the best wep from VoG. Vex is indeed a nice gun. Id use it over other exotic primaries. But id rather save my exotic slot for icebreaker. Much better to have equipped for vog alongside corrective measure for quick oracle/pretorian disintegration.

Only thing that sucks about the Vex is that even though it can hold 35 bullets, the TOTAL ammo runs out rather quickly since it's a fusion rifle and you don't get much to begin with. Yes, taking into consideration that you fire it in full auto and hit all headshots, against a boss I would rather use a Gjallarhorn as my exotic.

Yes a Gjallahorn runs out of ammo faster, but that isn't going to matter in short fights where the only thing that matters is DPS. Fights like Atheon and Crota are going to value the Gjallahorn more than the Vex, but the first two checkpoints and a majority of the strikes (before the boss fight) are going to value the Mythoclast more. The problem with the VoG is... VoG weapons drop with a cool thing called Oracle Disruptor... it disrupts oracles. So I would value a Vision of Confluence more in the VoG than the Mythoclast.

Vex has high dps. Your output on the vex is more than lets say something from a launcher. Oracle disrupting perk is really shit and I don't ever see it working. Best guns for oracles anyway is either the epilogue or corrective measure.

If you think that the Mythoclast has more DPS than a Gjallahorn, you are wrong. No ifs, ands, or buts... you are wrong. Even an Icebreaker is more effective against Atheon than the Mythoclast.

Not to mention the ROF is much higher than the Ghorn and so is the reload. So that means I can put more shots down range effectively getting a higher dps. I feel like you don't know what dps is but it means damage per second as in the average amount of damage your gun does per second. Many factors are tied into this ROF, damage, magazine size, reload times. Ghorn has higher damage output because it's a launcher but the dps is really low. You can deny it all you want it still wont make you right.

Vex does approximately 58,576 damage points for body shots per minute, while precision shots do approximately 67,321 points of damage per minute.
