Attack matters when out leveling enemies? Evidence here!
This video is made to proof a theory of attack won't make a damage difference if you out level your enemies (same weapon and same enemies) is wrong. It can be seen the 1.0 and 2.0 version of pocket infinity have exactly the same stats (2.0 has two more attack), I am lv31. I go damage the same enemy with both and the 2.0 version is doing on average about 30 more damage per beam than 1.0 version. My conclusion is Destiny's damage is calculated in a difference way than the theory predicts. It is likely to be dictated by 3 factors (ignoring range which was kept under control in the test): Level difference, impact, attack (still matters when out levelling enemies by quite a lot).
Further more, I demand damage calculation transparency bungie! Your damage system is confusing as hell to your user base!
