Look, most people including me do not enjoy the pvp portion of the game as much as the pve portion of the game. So when we are forced to play crucible to buy a cool looking piece of Dead Orbit armour, Im gonna get pissed off! And remove commendations! If i have spent countless hours ranking up a faction so that I can buy legendary armour, I should be able to buy that armour, but I cant because I have to keep ranking up after that to keep getting commendations. You act as if it isn't hard enough to go out and buy legendary weapons, and now you add this crap in?
