I've never done this but it definitely is the consensus on the best approach. Though I have also found that if you just pop the right glimmer booster on the ROC strikes you rake in the cash too. Plus you get engrams and chances at better loot which all ultimately net you glimmer even if not new gear. That's my suggestion if you don't want to farm. It is quite a bit slower admittedly, I got maybe 5k in an hour (3 strikes), but ranked up cryptarch too (and got trash obviously).

Yeah, definitely, but that's more of a go at your own pace kind of glimmer grind versus it being Saturday and you've been upgrading stuff constantly and have gone completely broke and only have a few hours to get more glimmer before Xur is gone.
