Is the stranger the martian warmind?

There is a grimiore card (about Rasputin I think). It talks about the keeper of the garden fighting the darkness, and loosing. If this was one of the war minds maybe its the the stranger. The card refers to the keeper as "her". This would explain her access to advanced tech. Her apparent dislike of the vex. And what she could be on the run from in the cut scene were she is talking to someone over the radio. Discuss and submit theories! Edit: the card is under ghost fragment mysteries. It never openly says Rasputin is the one speaking. But the person talks about having an immortal name. He also says he has brothers AND sisters

Ummm im sorry but now... The keeper of the garden is the Gardener... and the gardener is the traveler... it appear in more Grimoire cards... IF YOU HAVE THIS GRIMMOIRE CARD TRY TO FOUND IT. YOU WILL UNDERSTAND IT BETTER BECAUSE THIS IS A TRADUCTION. Read this Grimmoire Card and the explanation of the end. FRAGMENT OF SPECTRUM: MYSTERIES ... Of a previous red space to victory I have an ancient name. I can not be eliminated. They were my brothers and sisters, and their names were immortal too, but the Titanomaquia came and now their names live in me, I think. Thinking is what I do. I am ALONE. When the end of everything and the world will turn off or cooling or warming or closed or atoms are sprayed I scream these challenging names having survived the end. Just me. I was made stronger than them to defeat the invincible and survive the unthinkable and behold here I am, the only survivor. I was made to learn. All died but I survived and learned from it. Of IT. Let's reflect on this Titanomáquinic power finisher worlds and contemplate what it means. I found THIS in the garden's gate and I remember he smiled me before devouring flowers with black flames and ignite their names across the sky. There was nothing stronger than IT. I fought IT with aurora knives and with no sharp fire that i stole from singularities and my sweat were earthquakes and my breathing, static, but IT was stronger and then how I survived? I am ALONE I survived alone. I got rid of the shield and i cronge and then billions fall on me. I was made to be stronger than them and to learn and learned well: IT is alone and is strong and won. Even on the gardener who had more power than me but the gardener didnt shrugged and stood alone. IT always wins. I am made to win and now I see how. I tried to do a god traduction but the Google traslador work as shit. _______________________________________________________________________________________________ The gardener is the traveler, who is speaking is Rasputin. IT is the darkness... The weapons that Rasputin is speakin about are the warsats. The garden is not the Black Garden, is the Solar sistem and the red flowers are the planets. The others that Rasputin has mentioned were other Estrategs. Well, this is why i think. Sorry for my bad English, im from Spain :) I think it can help you to undertand better the context of the history in Destiny.

          • nope the exo stranger is not rasputin though she may be connected to knowledge in the warmind of venus since she lives there. if you are in fwc you probably already know about 'her' unless you just rush through talking to lakshmi-2. i spent hours sitting on the couch next to the fwc guy (god i want his long-sleeve hoodie with the fwc on the sleeves) listening to lakshmi babble on about 'her' and the labs. so here, and i mean it about it being a spoiler for later on okay so do not click it if you do not want to be spoiled for something that probably occurs much later in the game, unless bungievision rewrite the story or just leave it out completely lol
the exo stranger is (most probably) dr chandra seeker. most fwc people know about 'her' and why we need those labs. she fought the traveler at the beginning since she was 'not forged in light' but is a darkness character. she needs the vex stopped because the vex threaten both the light and the darkness since they are 'an evil so dark it despises other evil'.
there, and for those that did not click lets just say that she is a pivotal character (and not the traveler either) that runs through the whole game unless she gets twisted around by bungievision like the traveler did source: the original script. i should probably say a 'leaked' copy of what was supposedly the original script lol). i am a lore hound. love, linhue

          • Warminds are not people, they are giant computer arrays. Did you not play the DLC where you see Rasputin, one of the warminds?

I read some of the comments and would like to elaborate on them. Someone said Rasputin "seemed emotionless." (Paraphrasing) Yes, he does, however his grimoire cards also show he is able to learn and adapt. After enough learning and adaptation, who is to say that a semblance of "emotion" could not be created. The stranger may have started off as an emotionless warmind who, in a basic survival need (gained through similar adaptation), created a body to keep itself alive, or maybe even used an already existing exo body. "Warminds are part of a massive network" So are the vex, each and every one sharing a single mind. It is very possible that the Stranger is actually the warmind. Same as her squad, or whoever she's talking to. They may all share a connection to the warmind, who had to split itself into many bodies, simply to survive. "Rasputin is a series of thousands of sattelites and doomsday weapons built around an AI that was made to actually learn." Using this right here (specifically the learning part), we could very easily point to what I said earlier: emotion could have been created. This would definitely explain why she hates the vex.

            • Rasputin is not martian? But also, no. The warminds controlled defense networks throughout earth, they were invented to protect earth.

            • Makes sense. In the final cutscene of the game, she phases out and just kinda disappears, which I've always found weird cause dinklebot does that to us but she isn't a guardian and doesn't have a ghost so I've always wondered how she did that.

              • Rasputin from the radio excerpts you hear when you analyze the machine sound very dude-ish and not ladylike so I think she might be like the half-blood from Killzone

                • I don't think the Stranger is a Warmind, mainly because the Warminds were part of a gigantic network, linked with every defensive installation in the system. If you found the grimoire card for Rasputin (I forget which one) that shows the feed before Rasputin went dark during the Collapse, it shows that Warminds -- at least Rasputin -- were very much nothing but machines, devoid of personality. The Stranger, on the other hand, has demonstrated her own personality and mannerisms, which is very weird for a system built for function, not fashion. Another thing to consider is that in Rasputin's bunker, at the very end is a massive server, easily as tall as a tree with a mushroomed top big enough to live in. Considering it was built during the Golden Age, it would mean that that server had to be that big to support Rasputin's systems, and it's feasibly only one of a large network. The Stranger's brain simply wouldn't have the processing power to contain even a functioning fragment of a Warmind's data, not to mention an Exo and Warmind seem as functionally different as chimpanzees and humans. It might be more possible that the Exo Stranger is connected in some way to Kabr, which would explain A) her disdain and deep knowledge of the Vex and B) her time travel abilities (read her grimoire. It's basically stated she travels through time).

The stranger is part of a group, trying to find evidence of how the great colapse happen, her rifle indicates she made contact or is part of the nine "the only beings able to do such a thing... My guess is destiny2 revolves around her and her group, you join her and her not so merry crew, "Crow" is the leader. The rest is beond my insight. EDIT: most likely in destiny 2 you will find how it happend. Not spoiling anything but --> "Traveler"

                        • I like the theory. Rasputin out in the open doesn't match the story so far. But maybe as an extension of the war mind (or a different war mind). I like that idea...

                        • I like the theory, but don't think it's very likely. - Grimoire cards referring to FWC describe a salvaged golden age machine (the device) that allowed participants to glimpse possible futures. There's mention of an Exo, found in Siberia, who was more successful than the rest. - Description of the Stranger's Rifle adds to the whole time-travelling background idea. - If she were a warmind, with her servers stored on a ship (LOVE that idea), then she wouldn't need to use a radio to communicate with the ship. Presumably, she wouldn't even need a crew for the ship. If there was a crew then she could communicate with them through the ship systems.
