We are fine. Think mmo terms...we're a pure DPS class. You should be thinking of using GG to gen orbs for the 'locks and titans, not as a one off to deal crazy damage. You're using keyhole, right? If not, you aren't doing a good job for the swordbearer. He/she should be running thru orbs to get to crota. Also...um, bladedance gens shit ton of orbs...go gank some thralls. Mask of third man, plus the extend skill gens a LOT of orbs. Also, raid gloves gen orbs from grenade kills, so drop it like it's hot. Burning throwing knives have gotten me lots of kills, plus it's to put out extra DPS...not necessarily kill stuff...as well as you should be headshotting with them anyway. Blink strike is more of a getaway mechanic in group play....so yeah. Our job is to keep all the adds down, then dps burn bosses when needed....not really anything else. 'Locks buff peeps, or rez if they can't stay alive or to save a wipe, and titans just absorb damage and give a buff as well. As a hunter, you should be killing more than anyone else, and of course, surviving. The problems I see, are a lot of people don't really get the concept of hunters...and that includes a ton of hunter players. As much as anyone wants to deny it, we're built on the classic mmorpg ideal of pure dps class. We aren't ever going to have anything that 'assists' a fireteam. We exist to murder everything that ISN'T on the fireteam. And start dance parties with our sweet capes.

kitrak.... all classes can kill the crap out of adds. dont get where you have this point of view Each class has a kill adds specialization and a team support specialization. A sunsinger can clear adds super quickly by pooping tons of grenades and orbs too buddy, heck they even have voidwalker which launches a giant bomb to.....clear adds a titan has fist of havok, and pulse grenades which clear mobs around an area, and also they have a chest piece that gives them an extra grenade, more special ammo, and more heavy. I dont suppose that isnt for clear adds too? Anything we can do, other classes can do as well mate. heck a sunsinger can put down a mine field of solar grenades, kill a bunch of adds and poop out orbs like crazy while doing it. and you said "We exist to murder everything that ISN'T on the fireteam" ummm isnt that the point of all the classes? i dont see a healer around here

How many warlocks do you see actually doing that in a high end raid. Zero because they can't waste there precious self rez. Your point is mute and invalid sir.

Cause most of the warlocks you run with are scrubs and cant stop themselves from dying makes my point moot (yeah you spelled it wrong buddy). a GOOD warlock wont die and in either case when they use sunsinger after death they provide a ton of orbs just like any other hunter using any other w/e thing they do. i think you confused yourself sweet bilbo i totally think hunter players generally have the most skill, we are the hardest class to be really good it. all i ask is for us to share our skill and help our team out a little bit with some more synergy besides creating orbs, like any class can do I want to be able to do something that others can ya know? All classes can kill mobs and adds and make orbs (they have guns and grenades and specials too)

Other than the Titan bubble which is used in defensive mode most of the time or to kill a boss with weapons of light they don't. Again we are talking hard mode raiding here smh you didn't read the post again lol.

Well anything that generates orbs is used for generating orbs. It's just not solely used for generating orbs.

The whole discussion was what are Hunters good for. I was saying that during hard mode raids Titans and warlocks don't use there supers to generate orbs they use them defensively.

That solely depends on who you play with. I know my Titan and me being a Warlock use our supers to generate orbs on any subclass.

I have many hard raid completions I wouldn't want titans and warlocks using there supers to generate orbs.

Well like I said depends on who you play with. The raid is already easy why not generate a few orbs for the shield carrier so he can drop templar shield faster? We aren't dying anytime soon so that bubble and sunsinger is going to waste.

Things you don't hear in a hard raid. " hey guys I got this mob on the left with my fist of havoc."....."let me use sun singer here to generate some orbs". It doesn't happen and if they are using there super that way they aren't helping the team.

Edited by FLYING V: 1/5/2015 7:52:19 PMUhh I do lots of raids with Sunsinger, and I don't sit on my super because I'm not a scrub that worries about dying. I can active it, kill multiple Majors with it, create 4-8 orbs while doing so, and stop my teammates from getting blindsided or swarmed in the process. Orbs should never be a problem in a raid if you have semi-competent squadmates. The only time you should sit on your super is during Templar and Atheon fights, which are part of a now derelict raid. Hate to break it to you, but your warlock buddies are playing the class wrong.
