2 RepliesIt's a logical fallacy that cutting off hours of grinding is cheating. It's just doing things the smart way, and if anything it just proves that the game is too grindy and the design fails to encourage diversity in guardian choice. You can't blame the player for following the best course of action put in front of him. That's the classical 'scrub' mentality. Cheesing Crota by manipulating the intended mechanics through a networking glitch is completely different than simply leveraging your available skills in the most efficient manner possible. Levels 20-28 are most definitely not the hardest levels. They are the most time consuming and annoying, but there is nothing mechanically challenging about them. I have a guardian of each class at level 31, with multiple raid pieces on each one - not all of them are equipped because they haven't been upgraded, but I have acquired them. Still, I don't resent people who made 3 characters of the same class. They just did what Bungie incentivized them to do. A better solution is to simply make the upgrade paths less grindy, with more common radiant materials. Soulbound gear would just make everybody have to suffer the misery of grinding in triplicate, which is purely destructive.

You mad bro? Honestly though, why worry about others? It's all luck anyways so why not better your odds. I have friends that have 1 character and ran a raid and got the whole damn set. Other friends did it 1o + and didn't.

Don't have the time or patience to max out three different characters. So I'll make my one main character s beast. My third Titan will be Lv 20 tomorrow here I come third raid this week

I came to the realization that after almost 7 days of play time I really didn't like playing as a Hunter anymore so last night I deleted him and joined the club of 'cheaters' by starting a 3rd Titan. I don't play Iron Banner so using that excuse for caring what other people do doesn't apply to me. The reality is, even someone who has 3 different characters can do exactly the same thing to make it to LVL 32. All they have to do is funnel all the rewards and shards to their main character, it's the same exact premise. I personally am not doing it so much to run the raid 3 times a week on one class but because I have so much fun playing as a Titan that I have no desire to play another class. Fyi, Bungie has stated that having 3 of one class is a good strategy for leveling up. If they didn't want people to do it, they would restrict you to only one of each class when creating characters.

First off you are looking at it wrong. No one is cutting out grinding hours. The other 2 character are just pack mules to support the main char. The main purpose of this strategy is to speed up the leveling of end game gear. Not to skip from 20 to 31. The people who do this are high end players that want to max their end game gear. They still put in the work to achieve this. Especially now with the way bungie added new upgrade materials to level up raid gear, they have pushed people into this. For example, vault of glass armor used materials that could be obtained in ways other than raid, therefore upgrading that sweet armor was less time consuming and difficult. In crotas end, you can get a full set in 2 raids and then still need multiple weeks of raiding to get the materials needed to level up the armor. I don't know about you, but the fact that 2 of my characters have multiple pieces of raid armor and I have to choose which character gets to use the upgrade materials really freaking sucks. So while my titan has raid armor that is mostly leveled up, my warlock has sweet raid armor with zero materials to use. Due to this dilemma I'm considering deleting my hunter and making another titan or warlock because it would be stupid to try to take my hunter the raid because it would just add to the frustration. So if you look at it realistically, people having 3 of the same class aren't hurting anyone. I really don't see why people get upset over this. No one is skipping anything, they are trying to maximize the gear they worked hard for. Maybe this will help clear things up.

If Bungie went by this the game would dry up so fast and would lose a fair chunk of its hardcore community I would think. Stunting the progression of the players by capping it by the week is only a means of stretching the end game due to unsteady content release. On this game your gear slightly pushes for what you can and can't do. Had they not gone with the week locks 3x class characters would not be a thing. I don't really see this as cheating. I see it more of the person enjoying the game to the point where they want more and more progress. It shows that the player is willing to put in the time to make their character outshine others, which I respect. Edit 2... 20-28.... Um... Yeah... Not sure about that one... Also I may have strayed from the point. Is it the gear acquiring or the gear levelling? XD

3 RepliesDude you're a joke. None of your 3 guardians is worth a damn. Lots of tower gear. I help people run the raids, it's easier to help people if I have better gear. I beat crota 7 times this week. I have 3 warlocks. 4 crota runs this week I gained nothing, but I helped others. You say I'm cutting hours out of ranking up? Well in that case I more than make up for it helping people. Get over yourself and stop being jealous.

I have a hunter a fair chance and got him all the way to 28, deleted him and made a second warlock. Would rather make double the warlock gains per week than play as a hunter.
