Hunters need a buff for PVE. Are we truly a high DPS class? We need some answers.

[b]BEFORE YOU SAY A HUNTER SOLOD THE RAID: SO DID A TITAN! http://www.twitch.tv/mrpervysage/b/601364193 AND SO DID A WARLOCK (so stop b*tching warlocks) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ut7xNTMF4iU&list=UUXEECTDpfL2bBJrYjv9_qvQ&index=1 .[/b] Really [b]THE POST IS IN REGARD TO HIGH END PVE RAIDS, NOT STRIKES, NOT SOLOING, NOT PVP[/b] [b]ESPECIALLY HARD RAID SITUATIONS WHERE YOU CANT REVIVE PEOPLE[/b] [b]my main point is that in a hard mode raid most player compositions are looking for survivability and team buffing, especially due to the nature of the difficulty. And hunters are kinda the weakest at that at times and sometimes the best (with a proper invisibility). I just want some team synergy for hunters for us to make more of team impact in Hard Mode raids.[/b] Points that have been discussed: THESE ARE ALL PERTAINING TO PVE -Golden Gun needs some adjustments in PVE, maybe a higher damage boost or the addition of being able to land precision shots with it -Blade Dancer is lacking in the orb production department and is also very hard to use in certain situation such as the nightfall or any mission with lightswitch on - Hunters are the only class that doesnt, by default, have additional elemental damage attached to our melee abilities.   • Wrote this a while back. GG Hard Mode Raid Utility I believe that currently golden guns utility in hard mode raids is lacking, but I don't believe that it's short comings stem from its damage output itself, but from the fact that it provides no additional support to the team beside the occasional clearing of weaker mobs and orb generation. I think with the addition of a secondary team support utilility added to Golden Gun, not only will hunters/GG be more relevant in end game content, but it will also increase the versatility of team compositions and strategies available. Possible changes: 1.Upon receiving damage from golden gun the unit is marked. Marked targets receive increased damage from all sources by X% can be stacked X amount of times. Last X amount of time from last golden gun damage received. Only one mark can be applied per target. Stacks can be renewed from any golden gun.(Stacks/time left can be viewed like the chain of woe indicator). 2.Can be activated upon death, you''re resurrected until the end of the super. If a enemy is not killed before the end of the super you return to death (only applies when used to resurrect). Golden Gun is limited to one bullet but damage is increased by x%.(applies with use of resurrection and without). 3.Any enemy killed with golden gun has a greatly increased chance to drop ammo for the user and his team.(The amount of shots used on the enemy could be a multiplier, of the increased chance of ammo dropping).

      I reckon GG needs a slight buff to nearby teammates weapon handling speeds when it gets activated, maybe for like 10 seconds. And bladedancer... It NEEDS to actually generate orbs. It seems 50/50 as to whether it actually does, and that seems odd, considering its one of the hardest supers to kill high rank enemies with (I.e. majors). Another possible buff to GG would be to give it 6 shots default, (8 with achlyophage) make it able to crit, but lower the damage somewhat, would be a two shot kill in PvP, or a 1 shot headshot. PvE it would have a decent crit multiplier, and it'd probably need a decent RoF in order to still be as good as it is in PvP. (I'm not saying that they need to do this now as it'd be a huge change, but if this had been the GG from the start, I think it'd be a little more balanced across both PvE and PvP, rather than only really being powerful in one)

      • I didn't read much of this post, but I did agree to the golden gun topic. I ran with a hunter for about a month (pre dlc) and had him at 30, so i can agree that the golden gun could've used a slight buff in PvE. Even if the buff was only adding precision damage to it.

        • Hunter and Warlock supposed to be damage oriented. Titan is supposed to be a tank. Didn't happen that way. Tough luck, live with it.

              • I have a Titan at 30 and Hunter at 31. I'm almost exclusive pve and much prefer my hunter for the invisibility perks alone. When I help someone through the nightfall, I go hunter.

                • Nah bro, we are fine, we don´t need to help no team, we help ourselves and that should be enough for the team...I´ve never ever since day one been left out of any task in any raid just because I´m a hunter...I don´t think the class matters, player´s skill s what is going to define how many self res and shields do you need...Hell if in the end a hunter is the last man standing crossing the bridge in the first part of CE it´s because he was smart enough to use his camo on himself and got away with it, I´ve already seen a hunter solo the entire thing! we don´t need anything...and no I´m not freaking using a class that seems forced to help other players, I play m way, and somehow I´m still MVP in pretty much every team I raid with, it´s all about improvising and finding ways around things, use gg for orbs,Blade dancer to get away or mob control, play around with the class...you´ll see there are still a few tricks out there only dedicated players know.

                    • I do agree that the hunter's supers are weak. For golden gun I think that it needs more damage to precision shots and maybe slight increase in base damage. I say this because while fighting a the on my ice breaker did 12000 without weapons of light and 17000 with weapons of light, when I used golden gun it only had 8000 can't remember if I there was weapons of light. For bladedancer I feel this one is so much more complicated. I say this because in end game content arc blade does very little damage. I think the damage needs to be upgraded most definitely. Some other changes I would like is change some perks in the skill tree. I wish we could instantly revive like the perk on crest of alpha lupi. I also feel that the mask of the third man does not help that much I feel instead using up less super energy I would rather it give out much more damage. I enjoy playing as bladedancer more because the invisibility and reviving in nightfalls. I know you said usefulness in raids and teamwork so maybe for gunslinger when activated give teammates more weapon stability or reload speed( something with their weapon). For bladedancer I say when activated give teammates more melee attack strength. I could go on but I have to go eat lunch.

                    • I like it, hunter is my main and I think I do well. Played my lock for a bit yesterday and was top killer each strike lol that doesn't happen when I'm hunter playing with locks and Titans I have to be much more careful with my hunter compared to Titan and lock in pve

                      • Hunters are fine, although they do need higher damage when they use golden gun, its sad how one bullet from my ice Breaker does more damage than the golden gun.

                        • I don't really care to buff my team. But I do think the Hunter's melee hits suck ass compared to the other two classes. Specifically in PvP. Our melee blows hard. Golden Gun could use a buff. The only thing it's useful for is killing a couple enemies (normal enemies. Not even elites) at range. If a Titan's hulk smash or a Lock's purple nurple can one shot elites GG should be able to also.

                          • For all those saying hunters suck in strikes... Umm I destroy in strikes as my hunter... The satriene rapier, ice breaker, hunger of crota. End of story. With fast reload and stability increases I am just leveling all the mobs with the rapier having firefly
