Hunters need a buff for PVE. Are we truly a high DPS class? We need some answers.

[b]BEFORE YOU SAY A HUNTER SOLOD THE RAID: SO DID A TITAN! http://www.twitch.tv/mrpervysage/b/601364193 AND SO DID A WARLOCK (so stop b*tching warlocks) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ut7xNTMF4iU&list=UUXEECTDpfL2bBJrYjv9_qvQ&index=1 .[/b] Really [b]THE POST IS IN REGARD TO HIGH END PVE RAIDS, NOT STRIKES, NOT SOLOING, NOT PVP[/b] [b]ESPECIALLY HARD RAID SITUATIONS WHERE YOU CANT REVIVE PEOPLE[/b] [b]my main point is that in a hard mode raid most player compositions are looking for survivability and team buffing, especially due to the nature of the difficulty. And hunters are kinda the weakest at that at times and sometimes the best (with a proper invisibility). I just want some team synergy for hunters for us to make more of team impact in Hard Mode raids.[/b] Points that have been discussed: THESE ARE ALL PERTAINING TO PVE -Golden Gun needs some adjustments in PVE, maybe a higher damage boost or the addition of being able to land precision shots with it -Blade Dancer is lacking in the orb production department and is also very hard to use in certain situation such as the nightfall or any mission with lightswitch on - Hunters are the only class that doesnt, by default, have additional elemental damage attached to our melee abilities. Blink strike doesnt do additional arc damage and we have to waste a spec point to add solar damage to our throwing knife -Make it to where Hunter's Trance and Chain of Woe apply the strike team in a PVE situation only (not PVP). this would be great support for a team [b]EDIT1[/b]: OkamiHydra made some good points in this post too http://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/86131964/0/0/1 [b]EDIT2:[/b] Evillness had a great suggestion about golden gun apply a death mark of sorts on targets that would gravely improve hunters in a PVE situation and not un balance PVP READ THIS http://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/86182478/0/0/1 [b]EDIT3:[/b] Ragthos also makes some amazing points about how Hunters have an identity issue.     • Destiny doesn't have dps or "tank" classes. At least not in my opinion. We can all use the same shit. Only significant difference is supers. This ain't world of warcraft. [spoiler]Thank god for that.[/spoiler]

      • I think crit hits are the way to go with gunslinger. Icebreaker already does more damage that GG... With a non crit hit. For Bladedancer, I think more damage in pve only would be a good fix. More kills = more orbs. With the way the melee abilities were made, it's hard to think they would deal elemental damage. Maybe with the burning perk, the knife will deal solar damage as soon as it lands, not including the extra solar damage it will deal over time. For the gunslingers trance and chain of woe, it is already great for pve and doesn't need a buff. It can make even the worst stability weapons and the slowest reloading weapons half decent. If gunslinger is supposed to be all about dps, team buffs don't fit the subclass.

        • The only thing i see going for hunters as far as dps goes is they are the only class can double dip on recharging super energys via exotic gloves\legendary helm combo. Strange because both these items dont grant bonus int.

        • It truly amuses me the only "originating" argument that anyone can give is to go be a warlock. Really? That's the most intelligent feedback people can give is that? No one class requires any more skill over another class. If anything, aiming the nova bomb with a lock is "harder" than pointing a giant flaming revolver in the vicinity of an enemy and pulling the trigger. It's going to hit even if you don't directly aim it at them, ESPECIALLY with the keyhole perk that hits and damages anything in the area. Get your facts together or at least say something of value when you respond to someone who actually has productive ideas for a change. As a hunter myself, downing a major or ultra with golden gun can be cumbersome. If you want to actually benefit your party, then wait until he's 50% HP or more to use it and produce 4+ orbs. Additionally, having the option to critically hit an enemy with the golden gun is a pretty awesome idea. Wouldn't change the outcome of the game by that much.

          • Golden gun needs a buff. Its a one shot kill in PvP already so it won't unbalance the game yet many PvE enemies take all of the shots and keep moving. Should it one shot bosses? No, never. Regular enemies why not? Or atleast add a lingering solar burn effect so its worth using. As it stands now I often forfet to use my golden gun during PvE because its not really worth it..

            • Hunters don't need to be buffed it's called being good at the game you just need practice. And destiny has been out for how long now about 3 months if they really needed a buff would've been happened. Honestly if you don't like the hunter in PVE don't use em simple as that

              • I think gunslingers trance can proc for your teammates if they are near you. I remember hearing someone in my party asking why they had it during vog. They played a warlock so it had to be my hunter that gave it to them.

              • I play Titan and Warlock. I have a hunter that I don't really use. I agree that the gunslinger subclass needs a PvE buff. U haven't used bladedancer and I don't play PvP so I won't comment on either of those. One very very needed buff in my opinion is the ability to land a precision shot with golden gun. I don't understand how it doesn't have this already. The other perks could be better as well but I feel very strongly on this golden gun issue so I'll leave it there.

                    • Love the hunter. Great class. If you cant stay alive as a hunter switch. Its about how well you play your class. Truthfully I would say I die a ton more as a Titan then a hunter.

                    • hunters are there to hide and revive fallen teamates at nightfall, and for easy way to finish the first part of crota's end. your jobs the most important. just remember to follow these 3 items. hide, revive and run. that's what hunters are made for.

                      • I main a Warlock with a Secondary Hunter. I feel that the Bladedancer Subclass needs a significant PvE buff. It could either be in the amount of DPS or damage resistance. I seldom use the Bladedancer subclass. If I do, it's because of arc burn and even then, it's only for the occasional Arcbolt grenade.
