Defeats the point of the raid. Titans and Hunters could get to max level without ever raiding.

Which ones harder? getting raid gear, or getting full exotics? I say getting full exotics, why are we being for the confined to one way of reaching a level anyways. Aren't we suppose to be legends? Well why can't a legend handle being able to wear full exotics.

Or, Or hear me out make 3 of the same class, and potentially get two full raid sets. Which one is more rare now? Also ask warlocks, how well that is going for them. The whole waiting around for xur to sell them exotic's, hint it's not good. In fact let me make it clearer to ya. He sold voidfangs for 5 weeks straight he sold it a total of six times. In that time most people are dismantling extra raid piece for shards. Not to mention they been sold sunbreakers 5 times as well. So yeah 2 months out of the 4 months have been completely wasted. So waiting for xur to sell something, seems like a good plan. But really isn't not if your a warlock that is. I myself am a warlock player for the most part, so i feel there pain. Raid gear is much easier to get then exotics. And oh yeah you also have to upgrade them when the new expansion comes out. So yeah think of it as acquiring the ultimate gear. Raid gear makes your job a little easier, to get your ultimate gear.

Already happened with VoG. The legendary gear from vendors in the tower is now better. Case in point, the raid gear is legendary and is as good or better than most exotics.

You still need to vog to upgrade vendor gear

Ive upgraded all my vendor gear without running the VoG. You can get plenty of material from breaking down other legendary armor or else from the daily story missions or public events.

You have 200 some hours on only 1 of your characters. I'm sure you've had left over shards and energies from running the vault
