It's still a go to gun for most players. Look at iron banner now. 70-75 % of users are suros players.

Bungie reduced the damage of the bottom half of the mag. -_-

Unless you emptied your magazine to 10 rounds between every kill, that bonus damage didn't even save you a single bullet. It had 0 effect on your time to kill unless you emptied the magazine. They lowered it so that players couldn't prep the gun by draining it to the last 10-15 rounds and kill someone way too quickly. Most players I know did not use it this way. Also, I did not want a Suros nerf. It was good but I would not say it was OP; just easy to use and strong. I think most guns are fine, even the top tier ones. Just not Infinity. One guy starts maining it and then everyone that has it mains it in the lobby and you end up with no diversity and much frustration.

The bottom half damage was useful when taking on a group of enemies. Now it's not as good.

It was a bit helpful but on average it's not noticeable. It's still a good gun. Honestly I would've left is as is as emptying your magazine was plain old risk versus reward.

So what its still a fantastic weapon now it just is balanced sorry your top tier weapon doesn't out perform every other weapon in the game anymore that's so sad for you. If you were any good to begin with you wouldn't need an overpowered weapon to succeed. Crying when the mist unbalanced weapon in the game gets brought down a peg just makes you look like you suck. Not trying to be rude but seriously. Any good gamer would want to test their skill on a truly level playing field not win because of an unfair advantage.
