I need to stop posting comments about religion

Because evolution is a damn sight more more credible than a -blam!-ing invisible man that needs to be worshipped because his self esteem is so low he'de have you burn in eternal hellfire for not doing said worship, shit, mother -blam!-in aliens creating us for gentic experiments is more credible than god considering some of text & hyroglyphs found around the world.

No one writes a thesis on it anymore. The only reason it's still taught in public education is because it's just simply never been taken out of circulation. Maybe because they don't have any other theories that are true or at least sound it, and maybe they don't put anything religious out of hopes to not 'offend'.

Guess it must of been god then Im totally converted
teachers get fired for talking about Christianity and tell me which is being forced down you throat
There seems to be an awful lot of context missing here.

But evolution is taught in science/biology ect. Religion is taught in many schools as a WHOLE subject. Which is being forced down you're throat again?
-
Not at public school

Edited by PsychoWyrm: 12/20/2014 4:48:52 AMIt is not a counterpoint to your theology. Furthermore, it is not an explanation for the origins of life on Earth. It is merely an explanation of an observable ongoing biological process. You are more than welcome to say that your diety of choice started life here, and nobody can technically disprove you. The idea that scientific principles are intended to supplant your theology is a strawman argument. Many, if not most, scientists are theists/deists of one form or another. Frankly, there are people who have an agenda to advance by spreading this sort of misinformation. They want you afraid that your religion is under attack. People who are afraid are easier to manipulate. Science is not to be feared. As I said before, a large number of scientists believe in the divine. They pursue their work to understand how their God made/runs things. It's like a form of worship to some. You can easily reconcile the advances of science with the concept of divinity. It takes far less mental gymnastics to do this than take the bible entirely literally. (If you happen to be a biblical literalist, I'm not equipped to help you. I can only hope that one day you are able de-program yourself.)

Psi for President !!

It's the exact opposite where I live. Every teacher I've had (minus one) was a devout Christian. It's different in college but, y'know.
-
I'm aware of that. In 4th grade the teacher was asking us how we can be good people and I said that you could read the bible, the teacher said that was good for Christians but not for other people and I said what was wrong with it she said to stop talking about it and when I asked why, she sent me to the office for back talking. I told them what happened and they brought the teacher up to talk to her. I over heard her say that she never liked me because I would go around the playground and talk to other kids about the bible and stuff like that, which I did a couple of times but I usually got in trouble for playing star wars,. Later I went home and I was moved to a different class room for "harassment of other children."

You got in trouble for playing star wars? Like, pretend playing? That's dumb. Schools suck

Yes I did because of using our hands as guns and pretending to be dead.
