Same shit that happens in WoW after every xpac. Your gear becomes obsolete. Get fking used to it.

K but once you get the gear you don't have to farm xp and wait on upgrade materials that are trickled out behind week long lockout periods. You can actually just throw the gear on after killing bosses. There are also substantially larger raids to keep you occupied. Not to mention loads of other content.

Have know idea what mmo!$/&? Shit you said means. But not everyone that is paying this game has played WoW so dont be a dick and act like we all know what the -blam!- your talking about. I for one was told for over a yr by bungie that this game was going to be epic and change the way games are played on consoles. And to my surprise they got that right! They made a game unlike any console game before it. A boring hamster wheel of farming that you that makes for pray for something new to do or you get enough loot to become a badass. Well you never become a badass! Something new cost $20 every 3 months and makes you do same shit over and finds news ways to make it worse. Sad really if they had made the story the way I heard it was supposed to go I might not mind as much. And it has potential (or had I guess a better way to put it now). Think when I hear statements like yours your either so nerdy you would get bitch slap by everyone around you talking like in front of real people, or your missing the point for the sake of trolling. Which is sad in both accounts. The only other reason for your statement is you work for bungie or something. Or you like the game? Anyway be less of a dick in public because you might get thought a lesson.

Nah man, this is silly I played a lot of hours doing that. They. Should/could have created separate lists for dlc and non dlc holders. Then they said ok you early adopters and obvious fans love playing this game so in order to stay relevant. Play hundreds of more hours (stat boosters, have you seen the weekly update for 12.19.14?) and pay us for the privilege to do it again, in real 20$ DLC and fake money 8000 glimmer plus an exotic shard and some other shit too? It is way too much and not worth it. They could have made this simple. Ex 7 coins for a shard, 1 shard to upgrade, and gun must be level 300 before it can be upgraded. Problem solved...

The glimmer cost and new materials for raid gear is -blam!-ing a joke and slap in the face to me. But I'm with you. I'm prob not going to upgrade any weapons but the suros when it comes around again. Don't have the ice breaker or galahorn or those would be added to list along with fate bringer and hawk moon. Costs to damn much. I'm not doing this for a living.

It's also necessary. I see a lot of stuff on here as well demanding things like buffs or nerfs. I don't condone or support those kinds of feedback, but we need a space to tell them this isn't what was shown. And doesn't measure up To the quality they have presented us with in the past. We expect more, as the destiny community and gaming community. What if the next borderlands pulls the same shit because it worked for bungie? Minimal content ad grind fest, then get your hopes up for content and give you nothing of the sort. Literally 2 hours worth of stuff minus the raid. It's ok if you disagree but I don't see how you could be happy with destiny in It's present state

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought once you loot the gear there is no skill tree in leveling stats on the gear.

You level 90 - 100 in WoW that what you grind.... With what other professions requires you to grind after. Your level gear grind in Destiny is the gear itself . Same concept, different application. Get the gear. Level it. Takes a day of bounties. You're done. In WoW you get the gear, enchant, gem, reforge, transmog you're done. Time requirement is slightly different but people in WoW have to have a required Ilvl. Us in Destiny is the light level. And so on... I mean it doesnt take a genius to be able to compare without being anal retentive about it.

Right I get that, I've played SWG, Guild Wars 2, SWTOR, but for me its the fact that the grind is so obvious when playing to only get 2 light levels compared to vanilla where there was enough content to hide the fact. In those other games you are only grinding out one thing not both level and weapons and armor. Like I said before I love the game and I will still play it, but if this is how the system is going to work then I might save my mats for special things. Its just hard to swallow when the RNG loot system is in place and you spend hundreds of hours to finally get that raid helmet and now it becomes obsolete since you can buy a better one from Vanguard.

I love it when people compare Destiny to WoW. It's like comparing a car to a space shuttle. WoW has released 5 expansions in 10 years. That's, presumably, two years of content per expansion. Good luck trying to get that kind of length out of TDB.
