On topic: no. There's simply not a reasonable split between PvE vendor gear and PvP vendors, the latter getting around 80% of gear to purchase. Faction gear is PvP because Bungie wants to push people into PvP, not because of inherent qualities. Pushing players into Crucible is fine; being so heavy-handed in keeping them there after they've tried it isn't, especially with regular level cap raises rendering old gear obsolete.
On a tangent: Bungie never responds to or acknowledges these threads, despite how common they are. They've cut out PvE events from rotation for the past two months, and they've added a new PvE vendor in Iron Banner. They've removed the material farming option. This strongly suggests they don't care what many of the users want and will never address the issue. They've evidently tied the success of this game in the long-term to Crucible, and are willing to leave PvE players behind despite rhetoric in the lead-up to launch. I think that's a terrible decision, and so do many others here, but it's their game.

Man I hate crucible.

Agree with you. The Crucible vendors should sell PvP items but they don't. Bungie should take a look at DC Universe Online to learn how to run a game with both PvE and PvP. It would improve both sides and allow better control to keep each side unique.
