I just encountered this error last night, but was able to fix it due to unbelievable luck. I tried uninstalling the game, re-installing it, uninstalling map packs etc, but to no avail. [b]What made the "patch" finally download for me was switching from a Ethernet Home-link connection to wireless[/b]. When I made this last ditch effort, the "patch" successfully downloaded, and I have not seen it since. So, my suggestion to any people who are having this problem is to try to swap your method of connecting your Xbox to the internet. If you use wireless, try an Ethernet cable. If you use Ethernet, try wireless. Hopefully you all will find yourselves with Destiny working immediately. Good Luck to everybody! I will watch this thread and see if I can help any others out.
