The new content is great and a step in the right direction.
Most people are still hating because it has become cool to complain about destiny.
I agree though about the weekly update, where is it?

Add in having to re-level shit I've already done and a lack of new content and weapons, it's a joke. Saying this was a step in the right direction is crazy man, this DLC was a slap in the face to people who put a considerable amount of time into it. Not to mention how tons of guns, gear, missions, and new areas are on the disc but just locked off for DLC, its pathetic, Bungie is the last game developers that deserve any sort of support right now.

Sorry, I don't get it: What [i]content[/i] are you talking about? It's a strike and a raid (which can be soloed.....). Don't count the 3(!!) [i]story[/i] missions as content as there is zero, absolutely zero [i]story[/i] in it at all. No cutscenes, no storytelling, not a single puzzle piece of the 'big picture' of destiny. Additionally bungie punishes the player by effectively negating everything they achieved so far. Exotics are almost useless except being upgraded and reset completely (hours of work to upgrade), raid armor from vog is easily outpaced by vendor equipment and renders vog irrelevant.. Again, what [i]content[/i] are you actually talking about?

The new content was shit. I finally bought it because they gutted the experience without it so bad and 95% of what I'm doing is old content. The 3 missions were 3 of the worst in the game. Fist of Crota is probably the worst and that's saying something because The Archive blew ass.

they did not lead you to believe anything. people like you gave this game and expansion unrealistic expectations that no one could satisfy. I dont see anyone complaining about the first three halos basically having the same story about the halo rings. Btw before you say anything i love halo and i think halo 3 is the perfect game, my point is that people are incredibly unfair to this game

Sorry to say mate but people WERE led to believe that Destiny was going to be a sprawling epic. A series of planets where if you could see it you could explore it. Extensive customisation options where you could truly create a unique looking Guardian and every exotic you acquired had a story behind it so that you'd remember what you went through to get it. I may be wrong but I don't recall similar statements being made ahead of a Halo game that failed to materialise once the game launched. Halo 2 may have been a disappointment in it's campaign, especially with the abrupt ending it had but nothing on the scale of Destiny's issues. Most reasonable people don't 'hate' just because they feel like it; many like me are simply incredibly disappointed at what we were led to believe and what we eventually got. None of the things we were led to expect seem to be being addressed in Destiny's 'expansions' either; which continue the trend of being woefully inadequate in terms of content.

Don't bother, I don't even like to go on the forums anymore, because reasonable people like us, that have facts, and have felt this way from DAY ONE are completely ignored by blind fanboys. Actually, that's the first time I have called them that. Before they were just enjoying a game they happened to like. Now, to be so blind to common sense, it's sad.

and you have facts? where are they? being disappointed by a game isnt a fact its the opinion of certain gamers. If the game didnt meet ur expectation then sell it to someone who did like because millions of people still play it. The facts that i gave about the halo games are all true and no one brings it up because halo matched the picture that gamers had in their heads for it. Destiny didnt do that for a lot of people because the expectations were unrealistic. Mine werent and im happy with the game. There is still a lot that needs to be fixed tho but bitching about the game wont fix it. Give them constructive criticism and dont buy the dlc that will effect their plan and bottom line and then they will have to fix it

and with all that been said, i still believe that there are countless ways that destiny can improve and that is because it has so much potential. I give feedback but i am not going to unfairly criticize a game while Cod games are getting 8s and 9s on reviews while this game gets a 7 that just makes no sense. there are soo many games where people throw out the fact that there is no story simply because the game was as they pictured it. For example Cod World at War is probably one of the best cod games but also had the weakest of stories and the most disposable characters of any mainstream fps. yet it is considered one of the greats. Same goes for Modern warfare 2 becuase it basically had the same story as call of duty 4 except different bad guy. there are countless examples

THIS. Exactly. Double standards. That's all I see. Don't like the game? Fine don't like it. Cry and moan about it if you want to, but don't insult people who happen to like the game. If you're going to get spun up about something get into politics, or do something productive with all that energy. That being said, there is a ton of room for improvement. Bungie REALLY needs to flesh out the RPG elements and the story if this is really going to be a ten year franchise. For every thread or post with constructive feedback I see about five with nothing but haters or trolls who just want to sound superior on the internet.

again u were not led to anything. they want to market their game. unlike halo 2 they showed you wat was going to be in the game. In fact right after the beta ended they told you every area with every strike and how many missions there were. the large marketing of this game and people over hyping it led to this game becoming a kind of a scape goat.are there some issues with destiny? of course there are but the game is good. Literally halo 1 had an original story and the next two, even the almighty halo 3 which i even consider within the top 3 games of all time, had the same story in different setting. Halo became what it did because the community made it that way. the stuff people did with forge in reach and the shows they made out of it and the discussion of the lore is what led this game with great gameplay into something more. on the other hand we have destiny, where not meeting expectations means that the game is awful. It simply is not awful. it is fun to play and to grind with friends and a great time. Bungie also chopped off a whole chapter of halo 2s story and no one got on their case because the game wasnt advertised as widely as destiny. Simply because there is youtube with commercials now, people made their picture in their own head as to wat destiny was going to be and since it wasnt wat they pictured they not hate. I got exactly wat i expected when i played destiny, a good game with great gameplay and a more accessible MMO that i can enjoy and raid and grind with friends. they are a company of course they are going to sell their game it isnt their fault that people dont see what is being explicitly told to them
