it appears to be specifically related to xbox one. There was a thread from earlier in the month that bungie posted asking for gt, console, and connection type. It has been getting a lot of activity today and every single post says xbox one. I've looked up a lot about it and found most people experience the exact same issue that you outlined, which is why I'm on this post. Bungie basically seems to be feeding us the same bs troubleshooting techniques to hold you over until they fix whatever is wrong on their end. I doubt bungie has too much real advice to offer other than to be patient. Best thing to do is probably to contact them, provide as much info as possible, and hope for the best.
