too many inexperienced 31s in raid
Since the vendor gear has been offering higher light than that of raid gear. A flood of people with little or no experience have been trying to get into Vog hardmode etc. I think that we are going to need a new way to determine skill since level 30-31 has become available to everyone. Sorry but I'm not dealing with 5 31's anymore who don't even know what a relic is.

Your the reason people get discouraged to play any of the raids!! Cut them some slack...not everyone has unlimited hours to do research and fuking raid nonstop! Edit: this comment was for CE post. My bad. Ugghh. But yeah...still cut the 31s some slack though!!!

Look at raid completions, number of ascendant shards... Look for raid gear and formaxed mythoclast

Agreed vog should be a prerequisite for crota and normal before hard it was stupid how they made vog irrelevant. They should have boosted the drops from vog to get Lvl 31 gear while tower gear was 30 max.

Aye I get to Templar with 30's & 31's. I am 31 with a 312 gjallahorn so I ask who's getting the relic as I could have done more damage, and the replies were either silence or don't really know it. So I had to pick up relic to my disappointment.

Check grimoire for VoG completion. People shouldn't skip on NM--it's usually training wheels version for just about any game with HM & NM versions, even if the HM version introduces very "different"/enhanced mechanics. TBH, easier way to go about fixing this is requiring people do NM at least once before unlocking HM (@bungie). Yeah, I know, some people get carried, but it would still be better than what we have now: people blind running VoG in HM.

Yea I joined some people who had 3 31's and I was the only one who knew how to use the relic. After 3 failed attempts where they died in the freakin desert I quit.
