Grew up with guns, own plenty of 'em. I just don't let it bother me. It really doesn't matter if it's called a mag or a clip, because at one point (WW2) people were asking if someone had an extra clip.
That's like when someone who's super into soccer (excuse me, football) and they get upset at me because I say "jersey" instead of "kit", or "field" instead of "pitch", or "flop" instead of "dive."
Does it really matter? Maybe in the service, but not in a game, and especially not on a game forum.
Just saying, live and let die. It's just a word.

I cringe a little every time I hear someone say clip when they're referring to a magazine, but I just move on because it's just a game.
-
In WW2 the M1 Garand actually did use a proper clip, not a magazine that's why the term was used then.
-
Right. And what did a lot of people grow up on? World war 2 movies and games. They've heard it enough to call it that. It's not like it's offensive if someone uses "clip" nowadays.
-
Nah not offensive, only time I ever got on a guy using 'clip' on the forums was when he was attempting to ridicule someone for calling it a Magazine... I couldn't let that stand lol

And a game. We're not taking tests here every time we go back to the tower nor do I think anyone in the field of fire would give two shits if you asked for clips, mags, bullets, bang bangs, maker deads, hooskerdoodles, whisker dos, whisker donts, or whatever! Pretty sure they'd know what you're asking for.
