THIS for every pre-TDB legendary in the game. So sick of bungie preaching about player choice while they simultaneously eliminate it at every turn.

Hey Maelosity, I thought I told you that you aren't the forum police. But as always I see you continue to jump down people's throats when they aren't praising the game. Let me guess, you were looking for a fireteam for the Crota Raid in the feedback section of the forum again right? Dude, or girl, whoever you are listen up. If you are a Bungie employee, get off the forums and stop bashing your customers! It's very unprofessional! But on the chance you aren't a Bungie employee, guess what............ they aren't paying you to defend their game to the death! If you were hoping that Bungie would give you some special exotic weapon that hasn't been released yet for being the biggest fanboy or girl, I hate to break to you........they won't. Or maybe they will just to spite me. Dang it. I shouldn't have given them that idea. Bungie forget I said anything.

Yo sup Bird, This will be my last post so don't worry about it. You and all other negative so-called "Gamers" have drained me from any motivation to come here again. So in that way you were victorious today, in a way. I will still play Destiny and love it however so that's that. I was defending this game mostly because I am a person who enjoys it and think the game is totally worth it. I was defending it because I was considered a -blam!-ing moron for enjoying something. Which, to me, is considered a great hate crime and I have all the right to defend something I truly enjoy. The only thing that's actually being abusive are these so called community members. They treat the players, bungie and it's staff like shit for no valid reason. It was a $ 60 dollar investment gone wrong, deal with it like a grown up. While you and a lot of other people have no idea about the game mechanics I do and that's why I love it. It feels familiar to me, I've grown with it and made a lot of new friends on the way towards reaching level 30. I do indeed come on this forum a lot to look for other people, recruit and talk about things in #gaming or help whenever someone needs advice. But between those posts there is a lot of garbage. I respect feedback and you will hardly see any of my replies there when it's valid and even I have negative feedback threads. But there's just a little too much of a "-blam!- it I've spent $ 60 so I want to treat the world like shit! I'm a damn Customer!" mentality. In such an extend that people who think it's a worthwhile game and fun to play are considered huge douchebags who need to open their eyes. They're idiots for enjoying such a -blam!-ed up game. That's why I was here all the time. While you think you told Bungie how their game sucked, you actually told the people who didn't think it sucked how -blam!-ing blind morons they were. That's why. So I'm not bashing any "bungie costumers" I'm bashing the ones who think they can just harass other people because they've spent a tiny amount of money on something... You know, those kinda people who go to Walmart in the hope of buying a golden watch for $ 15. But thanks for again pointing out what a loser I am for defending my own point of view, guess that's this gamer generation. It's gone beyond Pay 2 Play, Pay 2 Win, it is now Pay 2 have the right to swear.

I'm glad to hear you are enjoying the game. You are getting your money's worth. And there isn't a problem with that. You aren't a loser for that. I have fun with the game too mostly crucible. While there are no perfect games, good games get feedback from their players. Yes i have seen some feedback in this forum that made me think to myself, "you're really complaining about that?" But there are others who have come with some really valid points on what is dissapointing about this game. Furthermore, Bungie has proved that they can completely add and remove features to this game and the changes have not made everyone happy. For example I'm totally against commendations. Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think any of the community wanted that. Commendations are nothing more than a way to slow our progress. Will Bungie listen to the community and remove it? Many players did set extremely high expectations for this game, but I was one of the few players who said "this is going to be a super enhanced version of halo. I'm all for it!" With that being said I expected great gameplay which we got. I expected a decent story which we didn't get and I am tired of Bungie advertising this game like it has a great story. This how this game advertised: " An incredible story set within a newly-imagined, always-connected universe filled with action and adventure.Create your character, forge your legend by defeating powerful foes, and earn unique and customizable weapons, gear, and vehicles.Unprecedented variety of FPS gameplay that redefines the genre and breaks traditional conventions of story, cooperative and competitive multiplayer modes." As much as you like this game Mael, we can agree this isn't true about the story. Most people wouldn't give any feedback if they could get a refund but since they agreed to Bungie’s terms (which is set to protect Bungie) people will voice their opinion. My problem with Bungie is they aren't even responding to the feedback. I work for a cell phone provider and I have worked in a resolutions department that responds to customer complaints via email, better business bureau, and even hand written letters. I have even placed outbound calls to speak with our customers. I have been here for just over 4 years in October and in the time I have been here, we have made many changes based on customer feedback. We have also made many changes to help benefit our business. Bungie seems to be focused on only the latter. Their approach to the feedback in these forums is the equivalent of my company shutting down our email channel, not responding BBB complaints, and tossing hand written letters in the garbage. So Mael, enjoy the game. You're not a loser for that. But we will keep posting feedback. Whether it's heard or addressed will remain to be seen. Good day to you.

He's not wrong. There is only one armor set that can get you to max level. How is that player choice?

That's the way these kind of games work. Player choice doesn't mean you grab 1 item and carry it all the way to the end. You have a choice as in being a Sunsinger or a Voidwalker. Using what grenade to suit your needs. You can also use any weapon regardless of the class you play. Usually this is restricted to certain classes.Choose a faction if you will, gather resources or trade marks for them. There's actually a lot of choice. Even in the armor from vendors you can pick multiple types. Reaching level 32 isn't something for everyone. It's a privilege to those who Raid Crota. Seeing 32 next to his name makes him a hero. One who stood before Crota to defend humanity. That's the player choice. You don't have to do that, but you also don't Have to be level 32. You can do everything at 30 anyway. We have to constantly upgrade our armor and weapons to battle these new challenges. Every new DLC will give us new weapons and armor which are better. We are already lucky we can upgrade our current exotics. There has to be a restriction on Player Choice else it would be a mess and Item A which you found in the trash would be just as good as Item B you killed a Giant Ogre for. This can't be the way people want this game to be. Get used to leaving a lot more weapons and armor behind in the future.

That's all good, but with Destiny specifically, there's not enough variation or even quantity of possible items to make it work. There's very little variation among skill trees as well. They would benefit greatly from a Borderlands-esque loot table if they want to emphasize player choice.

Maybe not with weapons because that's preferential per player but with the armor it will mostly revolve around that 1 set which has the best stats and perks. In borderlands you just get 10 copies of the same green item but with different stats. Eventually you pick the strongest one. Same goes for Destiny. Every Legendary armor that drop in Crota has different stats. If you're more of a Strength (Melee cd Redux) hero you focus more on that one. So you'll always pick Strength over other stats. See image. While maybe a lot drops in Diablo and Borderlands most if it ends up to be Crap n Scrap. It's nice for the eyes to see a lot of Green, Blue, purple and orange orbs lying around but it's mostly shit anyway. Now when a purple drops or even a yellow one. Boy, you go to that tower with Glee! [spoiler]And get kicked in the groin by the Cryptarch for giving you a shotgun you never use...[/spoiler]
