Agreed.
Since the new IB hit and I saw just what you saw, I now feel much less motivation to play the way I've been playing.
A little time to chase a bounty? Maybe.
The IB Gear should have been Light Level 32 (the same as IB2 was LL30 ... on par with Raid).
That ALONE was a slap in the face.
IB Gear is fundamentally less useful than Raid, or Vendor.
- It takes glimmer farming to get (most tedious grinding than anything else)
- It takes IB grind to get (not so bad and can be fun at least)
- Sharding IB weapons/armor get you NOTHING (no energy, no shards, no glimmer). Not even if you've invested shards or energy INTO the weapon (let alone the glimmer to buy the weapon and again to upgrade it). Sharding any other Legendary gets you SOMETHING.
No better way to tell your players they've wasted their time than this.

Double agree! It's like you can either get 3 characters of same class and bust ass to get raid gear before the next dlc or just take it easy and wait for the dlc and buy it from a vendor making raiding pointless. Now people will throw out "well haven't you ever played a rpg before? You gain better gear as you level thats how rpg works.,." well in any rpg game as you level up you aquire better gear. Not in destiny... You stop leveling at 20. Anything above that is light level from armor. [spoiler]I'm waiting for the "destiny isn't a rpg" well it is, you're playing a role of a character in a game [/spoiler]You pretty much dispose of last content gear and replace it with new content gear. Your character doesn't level. The best stuff in the game is obsolete. Best doesn't mean just exotic. There's legendary i prefer over exotics and in the new dlc the new exotics and raid weapons don't impress me much. We can reset and re level exotics at least, but there's a few legendary i don't want to give up. Make it where we can upgrade legendary items also. That can be the job of the wesponsmith since xur and eris stole his customers. Eris and xur sells heavy ammo now which was the only thing the wesponsmith was good for. Destiny works like a hamster wheel. Bust ass to get back to where you started...

Yep. Wish I had all the motes of light back I wasted reforging my timur's lash from the last iron banner that I just scrapped for 30 glimmer and two weapon parts. I doubt I'll be spending any time in iron banner unless level 32 armor is offered.

That probably will be right before the next dlc when you can buy the level 33 gear. Just like with the level 30 ib gear...
