Brace Yourselves... The Noobs are coming.
A couple days until Xmas and the apocalypse of new testicles running around the tower, scrub a dub dubbing the crucible, and ruining raids. Don't worry though... They'll be able to instantly buy lvl 31 gear after reaching lvl 20 and blend in with even the most seasoned of guardians saying "don't worry i've done this before". 500+ hours put in? Forget that. They'll put in about 20 and be right on par with you! Hooray for first world problems! So glad I dedicated all this time to "become legend" when the 12 year old across the street will get the game and instantly be on my lvl!

They won't be able to immediately, they will still have to raise the marks and the rep to get to level 3. They won't be able to just get to 31 right away, they will run out of marks and have to build their marks back up again for more gear. Then they will have to use marks to get the materials and then either run the daily lots or do the vault a lot to get to 30 and 31. This won't be a walk in the park for brand new people. Unlike regulars it would take a lot of work to get to 31

8 RepliesThe light system is the heart of the problem with Destiny. It is the most idiotic mechanic I have ever seen. Level based on gear? Retarded. And its funny that they call The Dark Below an "expansion" It didn't even add the same level of content that the launch game had... oh wait thats because The Dark Below IS LAUNCH CONTENT. Every location in The Dark Below is on disc and even worse all the story missions and strike take place in areas you can already go to in the launch game. Its so sad and disgraceful that they try and pass this off as an expansion or added content when in reality it isnt.

I am glad that more people will hopefully get this game, however I do agree with the OP and think they should have differentiated the armor option. Had all the original Vanguard and Crucible stuff, then only allowed you to buy the level 31 stuff if you were either A. Level 30, or B. Have x amount of Raid completions. I grinded and grinded and worked hard, as many of you have to get my light level to level 30. Took awhile, but it was worth the experience of going through all the strikes and completing the Raid. New players should not have that experience taken away from them.

Sure, they might be able to get themselves to 2000 with some heavy Grimoire grinding and YouTube some ghost locations, But those with 2500+ are the true veterans. Also, I don't have more than 40 ghosts. Edit: I'm not trying to push out 2500+ Grimoire elitism onto all of you. I'm just saying that with a larger Grimoire score shows how much of the game an individual is familiar with. For instance, you're getting an all level 31 raid team together. A level 31 with 2015 Grimoire score joins your session. Just make a prediction as to what his loadout will be. Oh look he's got a all Vanguard gear and no exotics, a shitty Doctor Nope with 257 damage and a blue sniper. I see this all the time. Edit 2: Feel free to run through every single one of my stats to criticise me on one that you have that's better. Grimoire Score says more than Raid Kill to Death Ratio. Final Edit: I didn't think of those that didn't buy the game shortly after release, I'm sorry if you're new to the game.

Agreed. Anyone who is saying "boohoo" or something is only saying that because they are those crappy 31s who haven't got any experience except for being carried by a team. People who put in 500+ hours got completely shafted by the game. It's stupid because they could have added [b]SOOOO[/b] much more gameplay time to the game if they used VOG as a stepping stone to get to a decent level to attempt Crota's end. With the rng, it would have taken so long. But they make vendors sell better gear. Wtf
