Like the title says does the younger of our gaming commuinity even know what its like to play a well thought out and made campaign? Because if not you really really need too get into one
EDIT: By young i dont mean 16 or 17 because i am only 18. I dont even nescisarly (well....kinda) mean 12 or 13. I just mean new gamers in general. It saddens me that i worry the new gamers will nevr truly have that one game to touch them, because i know how much it can mean.
EDIT:Thank you everyone for commenting. I didnt mean any offense to younger gamers, as i am only 18 myself. But i just feel like tho older games had so much more deeper stories to them.

Does the younger of our gaming community even know what a Game Over screen is?
-
Yeah, I found out when I was 6.
-
Back when 'multiplayer' just meant 'p2 start'
-
Define "younger of our gaming community." I'm 17 and I think the campaign is one of the best parts of a game.

Final fantasy 8.....nuff said

>complains about people being new >uses a term that post-dates Half Life

The amount of help you got from navi in zelda ocerena of time.... The water temple the forest temple.... The feels temple

At least games save today. Sonic two spent 6 hours griding to get to the end. Dies every-time on last level the feels.

Well I think it helps if you have a parent that games. My father started me with the Halo 3 campaign when I was 11. Yes I'm a bit younger than most of the people here... maybe. But for a 16 year old I believe some kids would get more enjoyment out of playing the campaigns of games to learn the basic story and to help with back stories to sequels of the games.

The Dead Space trilogy is a great campaign, with some serious MIND F U C K S in it. (Pro tip: Play it at night with all the lights off, and the sound turned up)
-
Maybe. MP is nice but I have put way more time into Dragon Age then I did Destiny
-
Campaign is good, online multiplayer is good but co-op campaign with a friend is great.

I know, right? When Modern Warfare came out, online console gaming got super huge. And there's lots of people now that just play multiplayer, nothing else. Single Player, is always better.

A campaign is one of the greatest aspects of a game in my opinion, especially if it's very very good. I like comparing campaign stories to classic books, or books with enough character development as action.

Edited by ANGRY ASIAN 500: 12/18/2014 1:54:02 AMMost games have little to no story recently. It's annoying because that's honestly my favorite part of a game. (My favorite games are To the moon and valiant hearts)

LOL no most of the people under 12 on here only knows what a Pokémon campaign is. But people 13+ Know very well what it is LOL
-
Yes, I do. I've played Skyrim, Ocarina of Time, Destiny. (Just kidding)
-
I'm pretty young and I always play the campaign before heading to multiplayer.
-
The Walking Dead, Mass Effect, Assasins Creed, elder scrolls and so many more modern games have good story lines but people only focus on the fact that call of duty lacks so much of it
-
Metal gear solid and Mass Effect Need I say more?
-
I played TLOU twice and I'm not a big replay guy. I may play it again. It's a masterpiece. It will be in curriculum if not already for game design.

I'm thirteen and I love actual campaigns. The first game I ever played was Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time and this day it's sill my favorite.
