I've been an advocate for this game for a while now and still am obsessed, can't wait to get on of an evening and see what's going on but even my patience is wearing thin. I know it's a long term plan but I still don't see where they're going with this game. I didn't believe the whiners before, you know the ones "it's all on the disc!" , however I am starting to agree with them. So many parts of this game are unfinished and badly thought out. I don't care what type of game it is but it's glaringly obvious that it isn't what was originally planned. I'd love for this game to get better and better but sadly its just getting worse.

  • Yeah because why give a developer time to make the game better right? Let's expect them to perform miracles within the first 3 months of release...

  • Had they been spending all those millions on developing the game rather than advertising it beyond any scale I've ever seen a game being advertised - they wouldn't be in the position they're in. Constantly patching their game and changing it's own systems. With every change, there's more setbacks rather than progress. No, they don't have to create miracles overnight the way they patch up cheeses and buffs, and nerfs overnight. Oh dear no, the many issues we ask to be fixed require at least 8 months to a yr by your logic. Issues such as Iron Banner which they decided to get to the grind in "fixing" overnight. Mind you we've yet to see the Queen's missions return. No word on that and the only defense that people come up with is the same as yours: "it takes time". So yeah, I don't believe that shit for a moment. Because they clearly show that they can make changes within 4 weeks time.

  • Really. Im sorry for Bungie so many retardee people come on this forum telling them how to do their job. Its a sad world we live in... not the gamers I was so proud of years ago

  • They can't make any concrete decisions. They change their minds daily. It's clear they have no long-term vision.

  • Nope, let's have them release a finished product and expand on it over time. #sad

  • It was never meant to be finished. It was meant to grow and finish with us.

So we are testers? Where is my check?? Why should I pay for something in order to be their game tester? beta is where you let gamers try out a game, at no cost to them, in order to get feedback, then go and make a complete product. Bungie.....I demand my check LOL Edit: Before you go into your stat BS, I also have another account, PS4 GT Sphinx6877. Although I may not have tons of time invested, combined on both platforms, I can still see flaws. You do not have to have 1 billion hours to see them, you just have to wake up!!

  • My comment stands, chapter 1 isn't even a chapter , it's almost a preface. You were dead, traveler good, all aliens bad... If you want more pay us and wait ten years. They did get the combat right, now how many games / expansions do we wait for story / character development ( what makes me legend?)... If you want to justify the time and money they are asking for you must deliver on more than one facet that makes a game.

  • That would only justify if you actually paid a lot more than $ 60. Kinda weird to come back 3 months after release with 150+ hours of gameplay saying the game is shit. It was either shit to begin with or it was ok but you want more. And looking at your stats it was the last. You want more, well so do I. And I know you just have to be patient. I don't even think we get much more Story in House of Wolves because the first season pass DLC were already work in progress when we were just awoken by our ghosts. Maybe HoW will have a little more cutscenes but my guess is the next big DLC pack to contain a lot more story like everyone asked. Trust me there are a lot of other games people spend money on which aren't even nearly as good as Destiny is now.

  • Wouldn't say shit. Only a disappointment. We all knew quite quickly we didn't get the game we were shown early on, and whatever happened must of been massive. We used it as a interactive chat room until something else came along and delivered ( dragon age). But this is beside my initial point - because it is missing so much it feels like gamers will be paying for what should have been in part 1 for many a DLC / addon to come. Honestly I'm saddened by the outcome of it and the DLC I purchased. I will probably give it a couple incarnations / versions and come back, because the same thing that help me get through a lot of the repetitive nonsense is the same that will bring me back - if destiny ever can deliver it will be amazing (citing previds and dev comments).

  • I seriously hope it will be what it was meant to be. The beauty of this game is you only pay once to play. I can stop playing and look back at a great time in Destiny and decide in a few months to come back in again. We still have 1 more DLC to go and I'm really wondering what that will bring. I wish they just show us a little preview or at least tell us they're working on stuff.

  • If they weren't ready for the already delayed release date when the game has been in development for years then somethings not right. they had enough content for the alpha and beta and then cut it out, what's all that about? I agree that wanting a tonne of expansions etc months after release is not possible but the point is that this was already showcased in the alpha and beta and removed.

  • Because of Money, that's why. They needed a release. And what's better than that empty month? September was a month with just a few game releases meaning no actual competition. People would play it and they would develop on Crota's End. Now it's 3 months later and they have a load of feedback to work on and they can maybe put it in the next season pass. But I wouldn't get your hopes up for House of Wolves. They were already working on it, prior to the feedbacks given. If they released on a later date they wouldn't sell as much as they did now. It's a choice they had to make. I'm happy with Destiny as it is, it will only get better.

  • Don't lose hope just yet. It's too soon for that. Just wait out what they'll be adding after House of Wolves and then make a decision. It's way too early in this game to have an opinion ready.

I hope you prove me wrong maleosity honestly but the fact is they haven't even acknowledged all the criticism from the release let alone corrected it which leaves 2 issues. 1) it's not too soon to notice they have established a pattern of behavior of slapping down the established players to leverage new players 2) it's also not too soon to notice they have established a pattern of only acknowledging criticism they deem worthy. And only correct about half of that Given those two established behaviors how do you envision them actually figuring out what their customer wants and delivering it consistently?

  • My guess and hope are that they are seriously busy with the first Season pass and passing on a lot of the feedback to whoever is doing the 2nd Season pass. I also think we don't get a lot of change in House of Wolves unless they announce a delay one of these days on that DLC. The real change shall be around Season pass 2. By then they had enough time to adjust elements to our feedback. Add more story etc. Maybe change the approach we upgrade our exotics. All I'm thinking is I've paid $ 95 for the game plus season pack. Let me play this out for 6 months and see what happens. If the game gets better I'll be the first to purchase the next season pass. But I need to see it first :)

  • You "start" to agree with them? It was kinda obvious after the first 4-5 hours into the game. Just check the interview and how hard he is trying to avoid a clear statement :D

  • They aren't going anywhere with it... Destiny 2 is in the works so get ready to just start fresh when that comes out. They've decided to put the Call of Duty business model to the MMO genre

People love to compare it to an MMO, but the grind feels to me more like a F2P mobile game. In those games the tedious grind serves to 1- encourage micro transactions and 2- extend the life of its content. Destiny has 2 down, I'm waiting for 1 anytime now.
