The Disrespect Below
Basically all the people who are the most loyal Destiny players built a nice little home in the game with a nice garden of exotics in our back yard... Then The Dark Below comes along and it's like Bungie built a freeway onramp through my garden so the holiday shoppers who didn't support the game at launch can have an easy on ramp to the level 30+ highway. Those of us who preordered the game and the DLC and proselytized this game despite its glaring flaws just got crapped on I have 15+ exotics counting armor and weapons and two are usable now. Commendations and Shards are just artificial barriers put up by Bungie to slow our progress through the content. (Here's a clue Deej this doesn't raise my value perception of the content)I'm stuck until the House of Wolves because I preordered and I'm not going to waste that money so I'll play it. I don't think I'm entitled to anything from Bungie either I'm just saying this is a slap in the face and I'm not happy. I won't be preordering anymore Bungie games/content. Anyone else feel the same? care to vent? Tell me I'm a whiner as per normal response to criticism of this game?

I hope they noticed and say something. Because we all know reviews 6/10 and that is generous. Who's gonna get a 6/10 game and word of mouth is not going to do Activision or Bungie any favors whatsoever.

I'm done until HoW or they do something to fix the way to keep old exotics relevant, and all of the convoluted currencies.

Incidentally IGN agrees with me I feel like at the point the usually malleable games media starts calling you out...they are going to have to remove their head from their rectum but who knows

I'm the same. Pure ordered the digital with dlc. And i like parts about this game. But if it doesn't get fixed, i really don't see me getting number 2

Well, I didn't have much luck pre-DLC. So I don't have much to lose coming into the new DLC. Even after raiding more than 17 times (6 completions), I have only found 1 raid chest piece and it was during the week before the DLC. Luckily I had a stockpile of shards (thanks Atheon and Co.!) so I managed to hit 30+ with both my characters within 3 days. I won't be doing the new raid. I will turn casual from now on after seeing that bungie will hard reset after each DLC. Well, more time to spend with my kids then. :)

For all the hard work I have to put in to relevel my exotics, Id expect them to go up to 400 attack.

I had so much excitement for this game, and this game has so much potential but even with the next expansion there will be no hope for this game's story or development. And I doubt im paying for destiny 2 after this crapshoot of a game even if they put a story in to it.

I think that the best way for Bungie to fix Destiny, is to kill all the game servers, buy all of our game discs back, and bury them in a landfill, somewhere in say, oh... New Mexico. Win win for everyone!

Bungie is apparently more interested in our money than in our satisfaction. What they are failing to realize is that the more satisfied we are, the more money they will get.

I absolutely agree with you. The game itself was not even a brink of what they promised. I felt like an complete idiot after hyping this and pushing all my friends to pre-order this "masterpiece" of gaming for 120€ just to be fed with an unfinished, loveless grind madness. I still had my hopes up for the dlc, wishing for actual content and lore. After its release I finally lost it and dumped the game. I will return for house of wolves since I paid for it, but to me this game is already dead. Just like bungie. I have bought Titanfall yesterday, and I had more fun playing 4 matches so far then I had my entire time in destiny. The worst part is that the story is way better, even though it's a dedicated pvp game without campaign.

well if Bungie stays partnered with activision you can count me out too...I refuse to buy anymore activision products until they at least stop making call of duty or revamp it entirely

The nightfall should be giving legendary+ items. I'm so sick of getting screwed with coins and my buddies get exotic items. I'm seriously about to return this game. My other problem is that it seems like the day 1 loyal players are being punished by having to upgrade all of our exotics, not to mention u can only do that on fri-sat, & then its only SOME gear/weps. I know they can just UPGRADE our old exotics for nothing, they would just rather kick us loyal customers in the face. I am really upset with destiny now (post DLC). We loyal players have gotten a huge shaft from bungie, so thanks for that.

2 RepliesThis again? Sweet jumping Jesus on a pogo stick. What you just describe is the nature and fun of the game. I'm enjoying leveling my exotics to 331 and aquiring new exotics for my arsenal. And who cares if some new people come to our world. If Destiny doesn't get new players it won't continue to grow. Be a mentor an elder to these new players and don't be so selfish. We who have been playing since beta and release everyday, who have the highest level the highest grimoire, the best armor and weapons should serve as an example and inspiration to those new Guardians that set foot for the first time in the tower.

18 RepliesYou are a console only gamer I take it.... because this has been around the PC community and MMO games since the dawn of MMORPG´s. Old content becomes obsolete and new content is what is the new jazz... at least Bungie did something that most others do not, they allowed us to upgrade our exotics to keep up with the new level cap. In other games of the same kind you would just have to face the fact that your old gear was done with period. I understand how you feel, however this is the order of things for games such as MMO´s and games that are keeping the same progression based system as MMO´s aka Destiny. New players always have a shortcut to the highest level where ever they drop in to a current franchise, the only thing that pisses me off is that this should not be happening 3 months into the games lifecycle. This should happen a year after launch for the first time. Destiny is too short and too void of content that it has to do this type of things to try and keep fresh and yet this damned DLC is so low on content that I´m already done with it (almost, half crota raid finished). I know this doesn´t sate your anger of frustration but I hope you take this info into account before buying upcoming games like The Division on consoles because you will have the same thing happen there.
