If you're using a hunter, adjust you abilities to provide maximum armor. Punching the exploding thrall won't kill you, but it'll come close. Just have to lure them out one at a time.

Nope. Just did to see my error. If it happened one time by one person it'll be hard to investigate. Interesting physics.

We've established that...yesterday. Looks like an exploding lamp, possibly.

My money's on yet another example of the crappy physics engine used in this game. The lamp exploded a solid 3-4 seconds before the slingshot effect occurred. If it was that then it was just Destiny's potato servers taking that long to realize that this player should be flying through the air.
