BUNGIE Customization Idea!

Hello Community, I've been pondering an idea for some while. And a couple of my friends have said that it is a good idea, so i figured the best way to get feedback would be none other than the Bungie forums :) I haven't FULLY worked out the kinks, but this is the meat of the concept... You ever really love a set of gear that you put on, but it doesn't give you enough light to use in certain missions? Or you have a piece of armor that is perfect for the situation, but looks out of place when you put it on? My solution is to make a new vendor who allows you to transfer all the stats of a piece of gear, to another piece that you love the look of. Now this might be hard to impliment without it seeming ludicrous at first, but I think some restrictions will allow this to be a reasonable idea. 1. You may only transfer stats from gear of the same body piece. This will allow certain perks of a piece of gear to stay in their place and not allow guardian's to load themself with one specific perk on all four body parts. There will be no overpowered sets of gear in this system. 2. You may only transfer stats FROM LEGENDARY GEAR. Legendary Gear are more common to come by than exotics, so as you start collecting legendary gear, you'll start to collect an abundance of them. You'll most likely end up dismantling them or saving them just for a collection. But wouldn't it be cool to take a legendary piece's stats and put it on another that you think looks better? If this new vendor is like a blacksmith, then the perks would stay the same, but the defense would go down by 3-5%. This gives the Guardian an ultimate choice of which is more important, looks or defense? Or another solution to this, is to allow the vendor to have a leveling system like the factions, vanguard and crucible. You can turn in weapon parts and class items to level up this vendor for a less defense defect. 3. Exotics may not be stat transfered. Exotics are exclusive rewards that are true to there perks and visual aspects. Being able to stat transfer exotics would make them seem at less value. You shouldn't be able to stat transfer something like the insurmountable skullfort. Its a great lookinf helmet that should not be tampered with. 4. The higher your level for the vendor, the more common armor can be stat transfered TOO. As i introduced in my second restriction, the leveling system will allow you to turn in weapon parts and class items to rank up your vendor. As you progress in leveling, your defense will start to become less defective AND at certain levels, you'll be able to stat transfer FROM legendaries TO rares, uncommons and even common gear. The highest level you can go to should be 20, which should allow you to stat transfer to common gear, with no defects. Level 15 should allow you to stat transfer to uncommons. Level 10 should allow you to stat transfer to rares and level 5 should allow you to stat transfer to other legendaries. 5. Every stat transfer requires an exotic shard or certain amounts of motes of light, depending on the body piece. This will allow not everyone to be able to stat transfer all the time. Buying shards from xur or dismantling exotics will be a more common thing, which would mean less exotics in the world and even less exotic shards. If you use motes of light, this gives you an opportunity to spend your motes on something other than the speaker. 6. Once the legendary is stat transfered, the piece disappears. This should be a no-brainer, you shouldn't keep the piece you are trying to transfer from. Stat swapping would seem a bit too good, which is why i think the piece should disappear. Anyways, this is the bulk of the idea that I came up with. Knowing myself, if there was a chance of more customization then I would be grinding strikes all day to get my vendor level up so I could get my guardian to look just the way I want him. With so many different styles of gear that bungie has made, why not show off the art? Everyone sees the exotics and many legendaries, but what about the cool looking uncommons and rares that nobody sees anymore? stat transfering would make guardians more personal to the player and feel more connected. I really hope someone at bungie gets a chance to read this and lets me know what they think of my idea. If you like the idea or have any other suggestions, definitely reply and let me know.
