ChocolateAx- After inspection, the switch is NOT a perk, you have to go into the inventory and switch it manually. It just shows up next to the perks on the screen.

Exactly... You go to the perks screen and switch it like a perk. So I call it a perk. Plus imagine switching between elements like that on missions. You need to find the one that benefits you the majority and stick with it. Besides it changes stats, so I could switch it to arc reload and then switch back to solar and fire way to fast.
