I like the idea. But I think pre dlc legendary armor should only be able to get you to level 31 like most legendaries before them. Other than that I think it's a great idea.

Why? I'm just curious. The idea's to customize armor while still maintaining your level 32 status.

The only way to reach level 30 before was to get at least 3 pieces of raid armor and an exotic. I just think the only way anybody should reach 32 now is through the raid armor and/or upgraded exotic. That just what I think. Your idea would help alot with people keeping their perks and getting through crotas end to unlock this new raid gear.

Raid armor's not special, as Bungie proved by making all vendor superior to the VoG's set. It's just the current means to hit the level cap. What I'm proposing would require collecting all the Crota's End raid armor first, before being able to upgrade. That way everyone would still have to put the work into the raid to hit 32, and instead of having nothing to do once they hit the cap, they could go the extra mile to customize their armor set so that they don't look like every other level 32 out there.

I missed reading that part. Yeah you're absolutely right. But you shouldn't make it where somebody has full raid gear. Some people don't have people to play the raid with even with sites like this and the lfg sites. I'm proposing that once you get to 32 period you should able to carry through with your plan
