control is clash. except you get extra points for having zones. if you notice your score wont go up if you don't kill people/complete objectives
truth is as long as your team gets 4x the kills as the other team you don't need to capture any zone to win.

*Hypothetically assuming they chose not to cap any zones on purpose. But yeah, any team scoring 4x the number of kills as their opponent is probably capping all 3 zones within a matter of seconds. Except with Bungie's new "Slaughter" rules, a match like this would get cut short and dissolved in the interest of fairer matchmaking.

You're right. I was under the impression that the explanations of the Team and Rumble Slaughter Rules were separate from the overall "Return to orbit at the conclusion of the match" part, and were meant to put the weaker teams out of their misery.

If it really was the way you said it I would never be able to finish a match. Me and my friends kept people under 500 in skirmish repeatedly (different groups too).
