You lack the skill to give any commentary on how to play a game type.

  • Well I believe the title is self-explanatory "Control" Even the narrator says some words like "Capture the zones guardians". C'on man what else you need?

Look at the whole picture, it's a domination type sub variant. It's important to get the points, yes. However it's equally important to get the kills. You can claim that you're capturing points all the time, but (and yes it has some merit) Your kill death tells me that more often than not you cant hold nor do you actually succeed in taking a point when faced with an opponent. Capturing the point in the beginning or coming in to finish off a zone don't count towards how skilled you are keeping control. That's not to say you don't capture them, but your inability to hold a zone combined with your lack of ability to go positive means that you're just at fault for a loss as people not capturing points, because unlike a player in it only for the kills, I'll know exactly where you're at because you're constantly trying to take the same zone and feeding me kills. This is a bit harsh, but there is more to it than just "capture points = auto win" I get 2 to 3 captures a game and that's it. Why? Because I capture and keep a zone the majority of the game.

  • My point is you get more point for your kills if you have several zones controlled. Even if you are killing several other guardians you don't score as much as you would if you were controlling at least 2 zones man. People are running around shooting bullets and totally ignoring capturing the zones. More than once you will be able to make a come back if you secure zones and make the kills not plain making the kills. If you want to shoot people then play Clash.

I have a crude metric to see how much of a "team" player someone is in Control - specifically looking at their total score in the gametype, divided by the number of kills. This gives you a sense of someone who tends to get their kills when the team has more control points, as the points/kill can vary from 100 (no zones controlled) to 300 (all zones controlled). It's not perfect because it doesn't account for assists or non-zone bonuses (headshots, first place kills, etc.) but it gives you a good sense of how they play the gametype. I consider myself a strong team player, and my score on this metrics is 233. Contrast this with a player I know is weak from playing random matches yesterday, who has a 133. OP has a score around 240, which would imply that his statement above is correct, and that he is actually focusing on caps/holds as well as kills. EDIT: Amn Killen also scores well on this metric, although very slightly behind OP (~220), but has a much higher K/D. This tells me that Am Killer is both strong in combat and also has some focus on the Control caps, whereas OP is weaker on combat and K/D but clearly is working hard to make his team win (and has a positive W/L ratio).
