you mean pvp bounties that doesn't have as much to do with what he's saying as letting teammates die then getting yourself killed because instead of shooting someone once or twice to finish them or help kill someone killing your teammates you run in a circle trying to melee them and now your teammates are dead, your dead, and your losing the match

  • No, i am referring to exotic bounties. i am one of those people that only play PvP to complete exotic bounties. because of this i am not very good as i don't have the knowledge of maps and certain tactics. i do what i can but i am very up and down. one game i do very well, the next, i'd be lucky to get above a 0.5 k/d. that and the damn lag for people with different pings. that is the real reason why i stay away form crucible.

exotic bounties aren't pve bounties... anyways, that's annoying to players like me but its not as bad as some, had a person on my team from beginning of match who's k/d was 0.05 which basically caused us to get destroyed (me and another were over 1.75 with a handful of caps, but with all others being under 1, that one person allowed the other team to easily win by stacking points and supers) i would say someone that bad shouldn't be allowed in, but matchmaking should be better and then that extreme likely wouldn't happen teams with 1-3 bad players aren't an issue, still can win and do well (unless its salvage/skirmish), but more than three with some being horrifically bad yeah...and a big issue of causing that is match making, regardless if some are just running exotic bounties (which cause less team problems than the daily pvp bounties)

  • ya, i know exotic bounties aren't PvE exclusive, just referring to people that get them that are PvE primarily players. but i think you understood that anyway. here is my question, how are people supposed to get better if they only play with other "bad" players? you will only get better playing against better players. that is how you measure your progress. its like only playing on the cosmodrome and wondering why, when you get to mars, you get your ass handed to you.

  • because its still skill based, unlike the game where levels matter more than crucible if you get good against bad players, aka your k/d stats going up, you start getting matched against better players that's the basis of how matchmaking works in the first place, its a system already in place in pvp games, its just that destinys seems kind of broken in that some really bad players get matched into good players or the bigger issue and problem, the game will match a team full of bad players against a team full of good players

  • I personally don't have a problem with "bad" players per se. I do have a big problem with "bad" players who are also selfish. In some games yesterday, I was playing with some guy who was consistently 0.3 K/D in Control, and he would repeatedly grab the heavy ammo without waiting for teammates who were right around the corner, then would run off and get killed, so the other team had all of their heavy ammo plus what they picked up off of him, and none of us had heavy ammo. Don't be that guy. More generally, even if you are "bad" you should at least try to play with the team on team matches, and not just keep running off to your death. In Control/Clash, if you stick with your teammates you should consistently be racking up a reasonable number of assists (say, 8-10 per match), and you very likely won't have a horrible (0.05-0.10) K/D, more like a 0.5-0.8 K/D.
