Bungie Weekly Update 04/25/08
In spite of Luke's European Vacation, we managed to cobble together a brief batch of news to reduce the snooze.

Why the hell can't I play Halo? I keep getting sent from being in the veto lobby to the pregame lobby, or else I get a "This disc cannot be read" error and I get sent to the dashboard. Help? I've lots about50 EXP on the doubleEXP weekend playlist. NOT COOL.

So, wait... Microsoft wants to continue to develope Halo, but have some one else develope it? I dunno. I'll be suprised if anyone can build a better a Halo. Halo is what it is and as great as it is because of those involved. Despite the fact Bungie has a little bit of say, doesn't make it alot. I dunno, Halo and no Bungie, not feeling it. I won't knock it 'til I see it, but still, not feeling it. As far as playlist updates, I am so ready for team swat! Excellent decision. Now... If only we could deal with those pesky elite folk... @ future projects: I hope another SCI-FI style shooter is in the works somewhere. From Marathon to Halo, Bungie has the SCI-FI shooter thing down. It'd be nice to see something completely new and fresh from Bungie.

I think a good playlist would be something differnt.. something everyone likes, like a slayer esque game, but with some other alternatives. Like, somehow a Juggernaut type thing.

Something that's been bothering me: it seems every time Bungie talks about what shouldn't be talked about, it creates a new firestorm of threads all over the forums about what shouldn't be talked about. I hope this will be the defining news that ends the conspiracy and no more will Bungie explain what has already been explained. There is a trend here, and I hope Bungie starts to see it now instead of later. I'd rather not see a 'can i haz _____?' thread every other thread.

Personally, I would really love to see a comeback of the full-time, ranked Team Snipers playlist. I always loved it in Halo 2, because if I didn't feel like running around with an SMG looking for a BR , I could always play a good game of snipers on Terminal or something awesome like that. Hope you take it into consideration.

Well it said they were looking for ideas for the May DblEXP. Here are just a few ideas I've had for them. 1st week: Team Snipers 2nd Week: Take the top 5 zombie maps or such and have zombies on those maps. 3rd Week: Grifball 4th Week: Team Snipers (again) I also believe that snipers will be very popular and be added to the ranked playlist for the month of June.

That's why they're making a new internal development team for the Peter Jackson collaboration and such. It is heartening to know that Bungie will still have an active hand in the universe they created.
