The raid wouldn't work like you want it to. A lot of lower lvls would hop in and it would form teams that wouldn't be able to beat the raid. Checkpoints wouldn't mean a thing if you end up not the leader. I'm sure somebody could figure out something to make it feasible, but that is basically going to be the simple task of using the groups and group messages to forge teams together

I don't think it should be mandatory on any mission but it should at least be optional. If you don't want to matchmake then don't but I do think that I should have the option to do it.

There are options to limit/prevent your 'concerns'. Implemented correctly and raid matchmaking would be the most valuable thing in destiny. But bungie are a bunch of discriminating cry babies who only care about "streamers".
-
I don't see your logic that bungie is the group of cry babies. Is it not the people crying about the exotic resets and people crying about no raid matchmaking? I agree with nightfall, but not raid.

Read the interview on ign. Bungie said gamers are playing destiny wrong. And they believe raid matchmaking would be playing the game wrong. If that's not being cry babies then I don't know what is. I don't give a shit about any other changes in destiny. I'll adapt and figure out the best way to exploit whatever changes they throw out. But to purposely prevent people from trying the raid is fundamentally wrong, and at worst a violation of our rights as consumers.
