I'm trying to get online with my Xbox One through a hotel network, but I can't get it to work. I dummied my Xbox's MAC address to the same as my phone's, it works every time with my 360 but not the One. I'm getting a good internet connection but no Live connection. Also, when I boot Destiny up I'm getting a Canary error. Is there anything else I can do?

I had this issue while trying to play wireless at a hotel. Plugged into the hard connection and it's playable, though the NAT type is 3. Occasional KTO but mostly playable.

I doubt a hotel internet connection would allow UPnP on their router. So basically you will have no port forwarding whatsoever.

Edited by iwalkinshadow: 12/3/2014 6:42:28 PMWithout a Live connection, I doubt Destiny will be stable and playable. Have you tried switching the One power setting to "energy saver" rather than "instant on". Instant On doesn't always register the ports it needs open on the routers firewall. If you have been using "Instant On", you'll need to power cycle the One afterwards for it to advise the hotels router what ports it wants open (via UPnP).
