Yesterday after posting the Thorn video talking about the buffs, I got a lot of questions. Most were about what new applications and situations Thorn might be good for, namely the raid.
So personally I've used Hawkmoon on the raid and feel it's truly the best gun in the game. But saying that is subjective and it depends on your play style. But when we look at 2 weapons in the same class, it's easier to choose a winner.

Good video but i have to ask why wouldn't you use the range upgrade on the thorn yet use it on the hawkmoon? Also you seem pretty biased towards the Hawkmoon. Your horrible performance using the thorn vs your 100% accuracy with the Hawkmoon makes it seem like you just don't know how to use the thorn as well as the HM. And you being a fellow level 30 you should agree that your not in a proper stage in the raid to be comparing these two guns. Main reason being who in their right mind would use a hand cannon on a fully shielded pretorian without using their special or heavy beforehand? You should run the same comparison during the Confluxes right before the oracles. And put the range upgrades on the Thorn to make it even.

3 RepliesYou also need to consider the fact that Thorn rounds pierce all targets in a line. For the conflux stage, 1 bullet can kill multiple targets.. Try it out =)
