Though I may not be as skilled as many players, I used to run the Nightfalls by myself.
Now, I can no longer make it through without the help of a fire team member. I don't WANT to play that way, I want to play by myself.
Keep forcing it down our throats Bungie

This might be why.....
-
I don't like the changed difficulty for solo. If solo play is going to be discouraged, then matchmaking should exist.
-
I soloed it man. Bust out the gjallahorn for the wizards. Everyone else you should be able to take down so long as you're defensive. I rocked atheon's epilogue, an arc sniper/icebreaker, and gjallahorn when I did it. Didn't seem that different to me. When they had the strike a few weeks ago with arc burn felt harder to me. What were you having problems with?
-
Still easily solo-able. The only time a nightfall will be too difficult is when we get no kind of burn at all
-
Lol I just did it on my own doing pocket infinity bounty yesterday...got phogoth down to a nibble and got void blasted back into orbit. But got my 200 nightfall kills so I win. Woulda been nice to finish it just for bragging but it's still doable with good guns and some patience and skill.
-
The loot is better if you run it with two others.
-
Bungie said they made Nightfall easier for teams and harder solo. What they didn't say was when they will add matchmaking.
-
You don't want to play that way? Well boo -blam!-ing hoo. I don't want to try and find people for hardmode raid but I have to. Cry more
-
Get gud scrub
-
Hmmm? Why? I can solo it. Easy.
-
I did it solo this week.
-
I did it solo this week.
-
They never changed difficulty for solos
-
Get better. Then play solo
-
Me either. It sucks
-
I rather solo. I have a hard time finding people to play with.

Edited by Glitch: 12/1/2014 2:10:54 AMI can't run anything hard solo till I get my icebreaker!!
-
Edited by Snake: 11/30/2014 3:03:38 PMDon't want to speak for everybody but sometimes, when I'm tired or just not up to using a microphone/wanting to converse with other people, I actually don't mind playing strikes and nightfalls solo, I actually enjoy it... Or rather I did enjoy it until it became a farm or fireteam game. If they're pushing us to make teams, there should at least be current level (maybe +/- 1) matchmaking for Nightfalls, Strikes and of course, Raids.
-
It is doable, but it is more frustrating. That's because the changed the damage with the update to where it's easier the more players you have. They don't want people running it solo. Pretty lame I think
-
I solo'd it not much harder than before just go slow and play the angles.
-
Dude I run solo on any minus the nexus it's almost in possible. To run solo you can do it man you just have to try
-
You can run still run solo... I honestly don't feel a difference as long as you can hit their shield weaknesses.
-
Same here. I'm a fan of playing solo a lot of the time. Bungie needs to respect this and stop forcing us to play their way.
-
Where have most of you guys been this last week. They clearly said that the nigthfall WILL BE HARDER to solo!!! This was in response to the fact that it was not scaling right when people were added to the fireteam. So they reversed it and this is the result.
-
Damn bro that sucks... It's takes tons of patience fam.. I solo'd it 2x this week and it is is no way as easy as it used to be.. Hold your head tho the struggle is only temporary

Edited by Cleat: 11/30/2014 3:13:19 PMNone of my normal fire team buddies have been online lately because of the holidays, and I've only managed to play an hr or so at a time over the last few days. I have managed to solo three weekly heroics and one nightfall so far. Granted it was noticeably more difficult this week. I think your troubles are from the strike mission, not any changes Bungie has made. Once u get through the first two sections, it's a win. Icebreaker FTW!
