Had a similar experience when farming helium. But after several attempts of alerting this guy (level 10) he saw the chest and proceeded to follow me on my chest run to gain 64 helium. He seemed greatful as he spotted a chest i didnt and alerted me in a similar way. I waited for him to catch up before opening chests and vice versa. There was a strange silent understanding between us. Friendly salute and off he went back to orbit. Nice when you find like minded guardians!

I did the same with a guy on the moon. He was lvl 23 at the time. He sent me a friend request and asked if I'd help him with strikes etc. he's now lvl 30 and part of our regular fireteam. He went from random stranger to gaming buddy in less than 30 minutes.

Its great how a little friendly gesture can turn into something much bigger. Nice to see you helped him out. Not many people who would :)

Yeah, it really annoys me when people refuse to help others just because they aren't lvl 30 or simply because they can't be bothered. If I see a low level, especially if they have low grimoire (otherwise they are probably levelling an alt) then I always try to help with chest farming and stuff. If they ask me to help them in the story, it can't hurt, even more so if I'm online by myself.
