Science uses a system of hypothesis, theory and law. A hypothesis attempts to answer questions by putting forth a plausible explanation that has yet to be rigorously tested. A theory, on the other hand, has already undergone extensive testing by various scientists and is generally accepted as being an accurate explanation of an observation. A "law" is a readily observable fact about something. It is something that is obvious and undeniable. The issue with global warming which is now called climate change is it is a theory at best but is argued as a law. The models have been off and so the advocates are struggling to find any explanation why their theory is still right though it is off. There is too much money and politics involved that skew the logic and objectivity science needs to admit the flaws and be honest. I read articles that the polar ice caps would be melted in 15 years and polar bears would be gone. The oceans would rise by 1 meter. That article was written in 1995. At the time there were many hot summers in the south with many days of 98-101 degree temps with the prediction of 102-105 degrees in Florida by 2010. These things have not happened. In fact it is cooler the past few years (advocates argue that US temps may have dropped but world average is higher.) To say there is climate change is obvious but there is more going on than the advocates want to admit. However the opposition is certain it is man made. I believe the climate will of course change like it has for billions of years. We have gone from molten surface to ice ages to more temperate climates we have now. I am of the belief the sun is a much larger contributor than we understand and far more than CO2. There are researchers and scientists that say the changes in our climate are more accurately linked to the sun and it is now entering a dormant period where the energy output will be lower therefore leading to cooler temperature. However the climate change majority believes man is the main reason for the weather changes via CO2. The theory the climate is changing is right. They are wrong about the direction of that change and the cause. Time will tell and the estimate is that by 2025 we will trouble as the sun will be dormant for so long crops will die. Bottom like: A new hypothesis we should focus on is that The output of energy from the sun is a better predictor for climate change and that output is getting lower and we will have cooler temps.
