I don't have a mic or keyboard yet (they're in my Amazon Cart) but I just bought the Xbox Live Gold Membership so I could do co-op playing. I'm only a level 11 Titan. I'm also a 40 year old mother of two who is an absolute newbie to all gaming (unless you count Scrabble). My 8 year old son and 40 year old husband play also but Bungie doesn't allow for three people on the same console to play together. (I believe that's called local multiplay?) Anyway, my gamertag is TheLampAtMyFeet and I'm mostly available to play during the weekday. My kids (ages 6 and 8) are in school during those hours. They're VERY unpopular hours for most gamers, it seems. I might not be at all what you're looking for (in fact, I don't even know what a clan is) but I would love to join a dedicated team that could show me the ropes and increase the fun with co-op play. It's nice to play PvE but when I'm alone during the day, the victories seem kind of hollow. During the weekends and holidays, having my husband around to cheer me on (especially since he's a level 20-something) is nice. That's why I'd like to join a team so that when I'm playing alone, I have people to share the fun with.
