It doesn't need anything. If you know where to throw you're grenades you'll know how good this armour is. I can throw. A grenade and have my bar recharge and throw another before the first explodes.
Postmortem for DAYS

Ahkara's spine is awful because the best way to use a tripmine is to throw it behind someone, at a wall, for an instant kill. More effective than hoping someone will walk into it, and also gets people around corners or behind cover.
-
Have you tested your theory? I thought when you throw another mine the other blows up. I am gonna test this myself.
-
It didn't blow up straight away. I noticed in the iron banner I threw a grenade at the top of B and I got killed, had my grenade refill over time and threw another and the first didn't explode off the hop.
-
So you're saying that you threw a grenade and died respawned and the same grenade was still there and you threw another one in the process.

Again, postmortems are embarrassing medals.
-
How in the hell are they embarrassing models? Your trip mines are booby traps. Throw one on a ceiling. Or on a wall around a corner and forget about it. With the spine since the grenades last such an ungodly time you can easily get 3 or more kills then when you eventually get killed that grenade will always be a postmortem. Then just toss another and forget it. In my opinion it's the best exotic armour for the hunter. And I have all the exotic armour for it. Just have to be thinking strategically as to when and where to place them. (this coming from playing control)

Postmortems means you died, thats why. I understand how to use tripmines, they are my favorite Hunter nade. But adding time to them doesn't seem like a viable exotic perk compared to other exotics perks (such as, knucklehead, Symbiote, raspberry, etc.).

The only other exotic I use in the crucible is the helm that gives another golden gun shot. I'm happy to get postmortem because at least in one death I'm taking one with me. So either way it doesn't matter, kill for kill. Typically on maps like blind watch or fireball Delphi I'm getting two name kills per death so out of one death I'm getting two or one kills either way. In a game that's as glitchy, and unbalanced as destiny I'll take any kills I can get. That's how I think of it.
